The first hospital to achieve ISO 15189:2022 quality certification in diagnostic imaging

In medical examination and treatment, diagnostic imaging results are considered as "magic eyes" that help doctors observe the internal structure of the body accurately and non-invasively. This is a scientific basis to help clinicians make the right decisions to monitor and treat patients.

In order to standardize quality, minimize errors and improve clinical efficiency, Medlatec pioneered the application of ISO 15189:2022 in the field of diagnostic imaging.

ISO 15189:2022 is an international standard specific to medical imaging departments/offices, ensuring accuracy, reliability and safety in imaging diagnostic services.

According to ISO 15189:2022, Medlatec must standardize and satisfy the requirements of the assessment process with full steps such as contract review, assessment preparation, document review, departmental assessment, and recognition decision making.

The Department of Diagnostic Imaging, Medlatec General Hospital is honored to become the first medical facility in Vietnam to be recognized by the National Quality Accreditation Office (BoA), Ministry of Science and Technology to achieve ISO 15189:2022 quality certificate.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Vice President of the Medlatec Group Science, Technology and Training Council; Professional Director of Medlatec Imaging Diagnostic Center said that the ISO assessment team and its members are leading experts in the field of imaging diagnostics from many different prestigious hospitals.

In particular, the ISO 15189:2022 accreditation process of BOA is very professional, detailed, clearly indicating the suitability and non-suitability of the processes built and applied at the department. From there, it clearly states the points that have been achieved, the points that need to be supplemented and overcome to ensure compliance with the strict criteria of ISO.

Medlatec representative received ISO 15189:2022 certificate from the National Quality Accreditation Bureau (BoA).

With comprehensive assessment of ISO criteria, the results are always accurate and reliable, so they are used in more than 130 countries worldwide, helping with timely diagnosis and treatment, as well as saving maximum costs and time for patients.

In addition to ISO 15189:2022 on diagnostic imaging, Medlatec Testing Center is also a pioneer in applying two international standards ISO 15189:2022 and CAP (USA) in parallel. In addition, this healthcare system is the first healthcare unit whose testing service is honored as a Vietnamese National Brand in 2024.
