Comrade Tien Van Binh, Secretary of the Party Branch of Mac Day Hamlet, Vinh Loi Commune (third from the left), regularly meets and exchanges experiences with the people, and encourages them to participate in local movements.
Mr. Tran Van Nam, a resident of Mac Day hamlet, Vinh Loi commune, shared: “The appearance of the hamlet has changed a lot, the roads are cleaner and more beautiful than before. Since Comrade Binh became the Party branch secretary, he has regularly gone to the hamlet to closely monitor and mobilize the people to work together. Importantly, Comrade Binh always matches his words with actions, so when people see the effectiveness, they join hands.”
Comrade Tien Van Binh also maintained propaganda activities, reminding people to maintain environmental hygiene and build a civilized lifestyle in the residential area. Ms. Duong Thi La, a resident of Mac Day hamlet, Vinh Loi commune, said: "Every time there's a hamlet meeting, Comrade Binh reminds people to maintain hygiene, plant trees, and make the hamlet clean and beautiful . He reminded us so often that it became a habit, and seeing the clean and beautiful environment, everyone considers this a shared responsibility."
Thanks to regular campaigning, Ms. Duong Thi La and the local people have raised their awareness and actively built green hedges, contributing to creating a bright, green, clean, and beautiful rural landscape.
Besides his social work, Comrade Binh is also a role model in developing his family's economy . On his 4 hectares of land, Comrade Binh grows rice, combines it with livestock farming, cultivates ornamental plants, and does additional suitable work during the off-season. By taking advantage of resources and diversifying his income sources, he has earned over 200 million VND per year for his family.
Promoting the role of setting a good example.
According to Comrade Binh, to mobilize people to participate in movements, officials themselves must be pioneers in implementation. "At the grassroots level, people look more at what we do than what we say. To encourage people to develop the economy, protect the environment, or participate in movements, officials must first set an example," Comrade Binh affirmed.
Comrade Tien Van Binh makes use of his time to care for ornamental plants, develop his family's economy, and create green spaces at his home.
Comrade Binh shared that, in his work at the hamlet level, it's crucial to understand the circumstances of each household and what the people need in order to provide appropriate support. "For households still facing difficulties, I regularly visit them, offer encouragement, and find ways to support them, even with the smallest things. When people see that the officials genuinely care, they will trust them and work together to improve their lives. To date, Mac Day hamlet no longer has any poor households, and many families have the means to build spacious houses and stabilize their lives," Comrade Binh happily reported.
Through their experience in Mac Day hamlet, the youth union members in the commune learned a lot from Comrade Binh's approach, especially his sense of responsibility, his closeness to the people, and his methods of mobilizing the villagers to participate in the movement.
Instead of making his mark with grand projects or significant contributions, Comrade Tien Van Binh is contributing to making local movements more substantive, strengthening people's trust, and spreading the spirit of working together to build the homeland.
