Secretary of Ha Giang Dang Quoc Khanh was approved by the National Assembly to be appointed Minister of Natural Resources and Environment for the term 2021-2026, replacing Mr. Tran Hong Ha.
On the afternoon of May 22, after announcing the results of approving the dismissal of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment with Mr. Tran Hong Ha (Mr. Ha was approved by the National Assembly as Deputy Prime Minister in January), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh submitted to the National Assembly for approval to appoint a replacement to this position.
Accordingly, Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee was appointed by the Prime Minister to the National Assembly for approval to hold the position of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment for the 2021-2026 term.

With the majority of delegates approving, the National Assembly voted to approve the appointment of Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment for the 2021-term term. 2026.
Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh is 47 years old (born in 1976), born in Ha Tinh. He holds a PhD in Urban and Construction Management, Civil and Industrial Construction Engineer; advanced degree in political theory.
Mr. Khanh is a member of the Party Central Committee for 2 terms (XII – alternate, XIII); Member of the National Assembly XIV and XV.
Growing up from the staff of the Appraisal Department, he has many years working at Ha Tinh Province's Department of Construction.
After that, Mr. Khanh in turn held important leadership positions in Ha Tinh province such as: Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
At the time of taking office as Chairman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee in 2016, Mr. Khanh was only 40 years old and was the youngest provincial President at that time.
By July 7, the Politburo appointed Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh to hold the position of Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee until now.
