According to observations by Dan Tri reporters on the morning of July 24th, four new flooded areas have appeared on National Highway 7, specifically the section passing through Nhan Hoa and Vinh Tuong communes (formerly Anh Son district, Nghe An province).
Water levels at flooded areas ranged from 50cm to nearly 1m, flowing rapidly, making it impossible for smaller vehicles to pass through the area. Many residents had to turn back or choose longer detours, disrupting daily life and the transportation of goods.
At the scene, the commune police force, Company 495, and the local government of Nhan Hoa commune have put up warning signs and assigned personnel to man checkpoints to guide vehicles safely.
National Highway 7, the section passing through the residential area of Cam Thang village, Nhan Hoa commune, is flooded with water levels ranging from 50cm to 1m.
On National Highway 7, the section near Doc Bam in Nhan Hoa commune is flooded with water nearly 1 meter deep.
Water has surrounded the entire Bậm pass area, making it impossible for vehicles and people to move around.
The entire Bậm slope area in Nhân Hòa commune was surrounded by rising waters from the Lam River. Many households had their homes flooded.
People use boats to travel along the route.
Previously, National Highway 7 was completely cut off due to rising floodwaters from the Lam River and streams. Although the rain has stopped now, water levels in many areas have not yet receded. In the photo, the Vuc Bong pass area in Con Cuong commune is completely submerged.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and advising people not to attempt to cross deeply flooded areas, especially at night and without guidance. Traffic management and temporary remediation measures are being implemented to ensure the safety of people's lives and property. The photo shows a section of Nhan Hoa commune, located on National Highway 7, submerged in floodwaters.
