Binh Dinh promotes investment and trade with Thailand.

On the morning of November 22nd, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province organized a meeting with Thai businesses to promote investment and trade in various fields between the province and Thailand.

At the conference, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, stated that to date, Binh Dinh province has 10 projects from Thai investors implemented in the area, with a total registered capital of over 106 million USD, mainly in the fields of industrial production, trade, and services.

Furthermore, Thailand is also a familiar trading market for import and export businesses in Binh Dinh province, with import and export turnover between the province and Thailand exceeding 5 million USD in the first 10 months of 2024.

"The success of the projects implemented by Thai businesses in the province will create a solid foundation for a journey of development full of opportunities and success for both sides in the future," Mr. Dung said.

Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn, the Royal Thai Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, assessed that Binh Dinh province possesses enormous economic and tourism potential.

"This conference is a good opportunity to enhance trade, investment and tourism cooperation, and to open up new opportunities in promoting the grassroots economy, connecting supply chains and logistics between Thailand and Binh Dinh province," said Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn.

According to Mr. Praween Wirotpan, President of the Thai Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ThaiCharm), Binh Dinh not only possesses abundant natural and geological resources and a favorable geographical location for transportation, but is also one of the areas in the Mekong River sub-region with a solid production foundation in agriculture , energy, manufacturing, and processing industries.

Mr. Chalermchai Pornsiripiyakool - Director of Corporate Social Responsibility and International Relations of Central Retail Vietnam - assessed that Binh Dinh has developed continuously in recent years, making it a favorable location for Thai businesses to explore and invest.

Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, said that with 10 projects, the number is still modest. "Binh Dinh is ready to listen to the aspirations of Thai businesses and will create all favorable conditions for them to invest here with peace of mind," Mr. Tuan shared.
