Established on July 1, 2025, through the merger of three administrative units, Binh Khe Ward has a natural area of over 138 km² and a population of nearly 22,000 people across 24 residential areas, creating a vast development space and a larger management scale. This expansion not only brings new status and potential but also enables Binh Khe to effectively utilize its existing advantages, potential, and strengths. In the context of organizational restructuring, the ward quickly stabilized its structure, ensuring smooth operation, uninterrupted administrative work, and the maintenance of people's livelihoods, thereby creating an important foundation for focusing on development tasks.
By 2025, the total value of production in the ward is estimated to reach nearly 5,960 billion VND, with an average increase of 14.4% during the 2020-2025 period. The economic structure is shifting in a positive direction, with industry and construction accounting for 70.5%; services, trade, and tourism 22.5%; and agriculture 7%. Average per capita income is expected to reach 121 million VND/person/year. The significantly expanded economic scale, along with a clearly defined economic structure, has created a solid foundation for Binh Khe to enter a new phase of development.
Industrial and construction activities continue to play a driving role in growth, with production facilities, mineral extraction, and construction maintaining stable operations, making the main contribution to production value and revenue in the area. Alongside this, the service, trade, and tourism sectors are gradually expanding in scale, better meeting the consumption and circulation needs of the people, thereby contributing to diversifying the economic structure and creating more local jobs.
As spring approaches, the most noticeable highlight is the new infrastructure projects. Last year, the ward approved and commenced construction on 33 projects to upgrade transportation infrastructure, drainage systems, renovate existing residential areas, and cultural facilities, with a total investment of over 89 billion VND. The widened roads, improved drainage systems, and more spacious community living areas have created tangible changes. This is not just an investment in infrastructure, but an investment in the quality of life for the people.
Ms. Pham Thi Hue (80 years old), residing in Trang Bang 2 area, Binh Khe ward, happily shared: "Our area has recently had its roads renovated, making travel much cleaner and more convenient. Seeing our hometown becoming more prosperous and developed, everyone is delighted. Thanks to the attention and guidance of the ward, people can work and produce with peace of mind, striving to develop the economy, and their lives are improving day by day."
The agricultural and forestry sector in Binh Khe continues to maintain stability. By 2025, the production value of this sector is expected to exceed 310 billion VND. The forest cover rate will remain above 58%, contributing to the protection of the ecological environment and creating a foundation for the long-term development of the locality.
The new spring also marks the beginning of a new term with greater goals and expectations. 2026 is a significant year with many important political events at both the national and local levels. Binh Khe has identified its work theme as "Breakthroughs in economic growth; improving the quality of existing urban and residential areas"; focusing on in-depth development, emphasizing quality, efficiency, and sustainability. The development goals are clearly defined in terms of direction and scale, including striving for an economic growth rate of 13% or higher, achieving a total state budget revenue of 240 billion VND, raising the average per capita income to 152.4 million VND/person/year, and maintaining the status of having no poor or near-poor households according to the national multidimensional poverty standard...
Building upon established foundations, with the consensus of the people and the determination of the entire political system, Binh Khe ward is gradually realizing its goal of building a civilized urban area, contributing to Quang Ninh and the whole country's entry into a new era of national progress.
