Binh Son focuses on implementing breakthroughs

Since the beginning of the term, the Commune Party Committee has specified the breakthroughs by issuing resolutions, programs, and plans for implementation. Implementing the breakthrough "Promoting the development of rice production towards the production of high-quality goods and applying science and technology to production to reduce costs and increase income for farmers in the area north of Highway 80", the commune has implemented a project to restructure the agricultural sector, planning high-tech agricultural production areas. In particular, the commune focuses on developing a high-tech agricultural area with an area of 316 hectares in Thuan Tien hamlet.

At the same time, step up propaganda and mobilization of people to participate in clean agricultural production models; implement a large-scale model field project with an area of 3,154 hectares, thereby gradually reducing the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, prioritizing the use of organic fertilizers and pesticides in rice cultivation.

According to Mr. Diep Trung Thao - Party Cell Secretary, Head of Thuan Tien Hamlet, implementing the breakthrough set by the Party Executive Committee of the commune for the 2020 - 2025 term, the Party Cell and the leadership of Thuan Tien Hamlet promote propaganda and mobilize people to change their production mindset, actively participate in collective economic models, and apply scientific and technical advances in production.

“The hamlet pays special attention to maintaining and improving the efficiency of cooperative activities, moving towards establishing an agricultural service cooperative for rice production. In order to reduce production costs, increase profits and attract businesses to purchase and consume rice for farmers, the Party cell determined that it is necessary to focus on producing high-quality rice,” said Mr. Thao.

Currently, the Agricultural Service Cooperative for Rice Production has come into operation with an area of 319 hectares for 3 crops per year. Since its establishment, the cooperative has had 53 members, with an average income of 45 million VND/ha/year. To date, the number of members has increased to 58 people, with an average income of 58 million VND/ha/year.

Thanks to the State's investment in dredging canals, ditches, installing 3-phase electricity, building 2 electric pumping stations and more than 8km of concrete roads, the Board of Directors of the cooperative and its members contributed more than 300 million VND to buy 4 engines, electric wires and pumping troughs for production. As a result, the average productivity increased 1 - 1.5 times compared to small-scale production, production costs decreased significantly, profits increased, contributing to improving people's lives, promoting socio-economic development and successfully implementing the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress.

With the second breakthrough "Focusing on raising awareness of complying with Party activity principles; strictly managing Party members", Binh Son Commune Party Committee continues to focus on improving the quality of Party cell activities, especially compliance with Party activity principles and management of Party members.

Secretary of the Party Committee of Binh Son Commune, Do Hoai Thanh, shared: “The commune has maintained the assignment of members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee to direct subordinate Party cells; members of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the commune directly monitor the activities of the Party cells. All Party cells ensure regular activities, the rate of Party members attending is in accordance with regulations; strictly follow the principles of Party activities, linking the management of Party members with monitoring the results of the implementation of assigned tasks. At the same time, focus on the work of preventing, identifying and fighting against signs of degradation of political ideology, morality, lifestyle, “self-evolution”, “self-transformation””.

The Party Committee of Binh Son commune and its Party cells effectively implemented the assessment of the quality of Party cell activities using a scoring scale according to Instruction No. 61-HD/BTCTU, dated February 14, 2023, and the assessment of "four good Party cells" and "four good grassroots Party organizations" according to Instruction No. 62-HD/BTCTU, dated September 12, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board. Every year, up to 92.23% of Party cells successfully complete their tasks. During the term, no Party cell was disciplined for violations; no Party members violated the Party activity principles. The rate of Party members completing their tasks well or better reached 91% each year.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, Binh Son commune will focus on mobilizing resources to invest in synchronous development of socio-economic infrastructure, effectively exploiting local potential and advantages; promoting sustainable development, accelerating digital transformation, innovation, improving the quality of cultural, educational and health sectors.

Comrade Do Hoai Thanh said: “In the next term, the commune will continue to identify two breakthroughs. Firstly, promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in Party work; build a Party organization that adapts to the digital age. Secondly, focus on mobilizing resources to build synchronous traffic infrastructure to serve high-tech agricultural production areas; strengthen linkages in processing and product consumption, associated with building brands and trademarks of goods to increase the value of local agricultural, forestry and fishery products”.
