Simple in daily life but determined and strong in work, that is what many people in A Pa Chai village, Sin Thau commune (new), formerly Sin Thau commune, Muong Nhe district, say about Mr. Ly Xuyen Phu, who for nearly 40 years has always been with the functional forces patrolling, propagating, and protecting border markers. Regularly, on the first day of each month, Mr. Phu spends time with the border guards patrolling the border, clearing grass and trees around the border markers, or every time he works in the fields, he goes around to see if there is any encroachment on the markers. “I also encourage other households to comply with border regulations when working in the fields. If they discover anything unusual, they must immediately report it to the authorities for timely handling. Up to now, 100% of households in Sin Thau have registered to join hands in protecting the markers,” Mr. Ly Xuyen Phu shared.
In the charming border area of Dien Bien, Mr. Sung Sung Khai, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Sin Thau commune, is an exemplary party member in economic development and actively encourages people to obey the law. He was the first person to raise livestock, dig ponds to raise fish, and plant trees with high economic value... Following Mr. Khai's example, people in Sin Thau reclaimed land to grow rice, grow medicinal plants, and set up cattle and buffalo farms. Excited about the changing life in the border area, Mr. Sung Sung Khai shared: "This land has been developing tourism, welcoming many visitors from all over. The Ha Nhi people have a prosperous and happy life and realize that they always have to be the trusted "eyes and ears" of the border guards."
It is easy to see that when people in border communes join hands to protect border security, drug trafficking in this area has decreased significantly, security and order have been maintained, and life has become more and more stable. People feel secure in their work and production, and the village economy has gradually improved since then.
For more than 10 years, Mr. Hang Du Chung, a prestigious person in Ho Chim village, Na Sang commune (new), formerly Ma Thi Ho commune (Muong Cha district), has devoted much effort to eliminating backward customs, fighting against encroachment, limiting illegal migration and land disputes, contributing to protecting peace along the border. "To firmly protect sovereignty and security at the border, the people of the highlands must unite like a bundle of chopsticks, be of one mind, and create sustainable strength," Mr. Chung shared.
Mr. Giang Cho Chang, Captain of the Na Bung 3 militia team, Na Bung commune (new) (formerly Na Bung commune, Nam Po district) shared that the movement of people joining hands to protect border markers and borders has developed strongly, many people are enthusiastic about propaganda work, mobilizing relatives and people in the village to actively participate in mass self-management models, together maintaining security and order at the border of the Fatherland.
