On the morning of July 4, 2025, the conference to review the activities of the first 6 months of 2025 of Emulation Bloc 1, including: Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union, Vietnam Construction Trade Union, Agriculture and Environment Trade Union, Vietnam Industry and Trade Trade Union, Vietnam Banking Trade Union... officially took place in Hanoi. The event was chaired by Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union (KH&CNVN), the Head of the Bloc, under the direction and consensus of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL).
The conference is not only an opportunity to evaluate the results achieved in the first 6 months of 2025, but also an important forum to discuss and propose breakthrough solutions, aiming to successfully complete the tasks in 2025.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Comrade Thai Binh Thinh, Chief of Office of the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union, emphasized that the review aims to promptly evaluate the results of trade union activities, draw lessons and adjust strategies to suit the new situation.

Reporting at the Conference, Comrade Pham Quang Huong, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union, Head of Emulation Block 1 affirmed: In the first 6 months of the year, the trade unions in the Block have been proactive, closely following the political tasks of the industry, effectively implementing the work of caring for the lives of union members and workers. Key activities such as support for the Lunar New Year, Workers' Month, and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Hygiene have been organized practically, creating a widespread impact.
The patriotic emulation movement, political and ideological education and propaganda, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style continue to be promoted. In particular, the Bloc has focused on promoting digital transformation in trade union work, typically the development and deployment of the Trade Union App, an effective connection tool between the organization and union members.
In the last 6 months of 2025, Emulation Bloc 1 determined the motto of action to be drastic and breakthrough, focusing on implementing a number of key tasks to successfully complete the set targets. Accordingly, the unions in the Bloc will continue to strongly organize emulation movements such as "Good workers, creative workers", "The whole country competes in innovation and digital transformation". Political and ideological education continues to be promoted, associated with the effective implementation of Plan 28/KH-TLĐ of the General Confederation of Labor on the program "Digital education for the masses".
At the same time, the Bloc will review and consolidate the trade union organization according to a suitable model; strengthen administrative reform and apply information technology in management and operation. The preparation for the organization of the Conference of advanced models and towards the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress is also considered a key task in the coming time.
In addition, Emulation Block 1 will promote cultural and sports activities on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025), and organize seminars and training courses to strengthen cohesion and share experiences among member units. In particular, practical activities such as sports exchanges and building "Union shelters" for union members in difficult circumstances will continue to be implemented, contributing to spreading the spirit of mutual love and solidarity, creating solidarity throughout the Block.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Huynh Thanh Xuan, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, highly appreciated the spirit of innovation and solidarity of the units in the Bloc. He acknowledged the positive results such as: Supporting over 225,000 union members and workers during Tet with a total budget of over 678 billion VND; effectively implementing emulation movements and taking care of social security.
Comrade Huynh Thanh Xuan suggested that the Bloc continue to promote its pioneering role, promote innovation in content and methods of operation, and improve the capacity of trade union cadres, especially in the context of digital transformation and increasing integration requirements.

At the Conference, many presentations by trade unions in Emulation Bloc No. 1 attracted attention, focusing on practical contents, closely following the requirements of innovation in trade union organization and activities in the current period. Some typical presentations include: experience in maintaining the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers" in the period of organizational model transformation; innovation in trade union activities to suit the new situation; solutions to improve the quality of grassroots trade union cadres and specialized cadres in the context of organizational arrangement and consolidation. The presentations not only clarified the results achieved in the first 6 months of the year but also shared many good models and creative ways of doing things, contributing to improving the effectiveness of trade union activities and being able to be replicated throughout the Bloc.
At the end of the Conference, delegates reached a high consensus on the goals, directions and committed to effectively implementing the set tasks. The key activities will be specified by Emulation Block 1 with clear and practical action programs, contributing to building an increasingly strong trade union organization, closely connected with workers.
