The American travel magazine Condé Nast Travel has just announced the ranking of the most beautiful islands in the world in 2025. Phu Quoc is the only representative of Vietnam in this ranking.

Notably, with 95.51 voting points, an increase of 0.15 points compared to 2024 (95.36 points), Vietnam's pearl island has risen to the No. 1 position for the first time in this year's rankings in the Asia region category. Last year, Phu Quoc was behind Bali (Indonesia), but this year, the famous Indonesian island has dropped to 6th place with 89.84 points. Thailand's Phuket also dropped "terribly" from 3rd place in 2024 to 9th place, second to last. Phu Quoc is far ahead of Phuket with a gap of nearly 11 points.

Meanwhile, Malaysia’s Penang Island, which ranked 4th last year, is no longer on the list this year. Malaysia has only one representative, Langkawi, ranked 2nd, right after Vietnam’s representative with 92.99 points.

It can be seen that while Vietnam's "heavyweight competitors" are gradually losing their form, Phu Quoc is increasingly emerging, affirming its position on the world's island tourism map.
