In Dong Hy commune, the delegation went to Hung Thai hamlet, one of the deeply flooded areas with over 400 households having their houses and crops submerged.
As of the afternoon of October 9, there were still about 20 households that had not yet left their homes. Local authorities have mobilized resources and provided essential goods to the people in recent days.
Immediately after the flood receded, forces were mobilized to help people overcome the consequences of the natural disaster.
Dong Hy commune is also one of the localities in the province that suffered heavy damage due to floods, both in people's lives and production.

At La Hien commune, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and the working delegation came to encourage the people of Mo Chi hamlet. This is an area that suffered heavy damage after the recent historic flood. Nearly 40 households in the hamlet had their houses deeply submerged in water, 2 households had their houses swept away...
Appreciating the proactiveness of localities, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee requested localities to continue to mobilize all forces to help people, step up propaganda work, emphasizing the need to mobilize people to coordinate with functional forces in overcoming the consequences of floods.
He emphasized that localities need to pay special attention to environmental sanitation and actively coordinate with the health sector in disinfecting and sterilizing water sources and polluted areas.
Localities urgently compile statistics and assess damages to report to the province for support plans; actively coordinate with the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to allocate essential supplies and support funds to ensure prompt and timely support with the highest spirit in sharing with people affected by floods.
