Ministry of Education and Training extends admission confirmation time

According to the 2024 enrollment plan, 5:00 p.m. yesterday (August 27) was the deadline for candidates to confirm their enrollment on the Ministry of Education and Training 's general enrollment system. However, according to feedback from universities, academies, and candidates, some students discovered when they enrolled directly at the school that they had not confirmed their enrollment on the system.

"In order to facilitate candidates, the Ministry of Education and Training has decided to open the system for candidates to complete admission confirmation procedures before 5:00 p.m. on August 31," the Ministry of Education and Training's announcement stated.

According to statistics from the Department of Higher Education , Ministry of Education and Training, as of 5:00 p.m. yesterday, 551,497 candidates confirmed their admission online on the system, reaching a rate of 81.87% compared to the number of candidates admitted in the first round on the system. This year's admission rate is higher than last year (80.34%).

This year, the total number of candidates registering for university admission is more than 733,000, of which 673,586 candidates were admitted in the first round. Thus, 122,107 candidates did not confirm their admission, accounting for 18.13% of the total number of candidates admitted in the first round.

According to regulations, candidates who have passed the entrance exam and confirmed their enrollment will not be considered for additional enrollment, except in cases where the head of the training institution allows them not to enroll. Candidates who have confirmed their enrollment on the Ministry's system will not be able to automatically remove the cancellation information.

For candidates who have not been admitted or have not confirmed their admission in the first round and wish to apply for additional rounds of admission of the schools, follow the admission plan posted on the school's admission information page (if the school applies for additional admission).
