Ministry of Education and Training extends online admission confirmation time

On August 28, the Ministry of Education and Training will continue to open the system for candidates to complete admission confirmation procedures before 5:00 p.m. on August 31.

According to the 2024 enrollment plan, the deadline for candidates to confirm their enrollment on the general enrollment support system is 5:00 p.m. on August 27. However, according to the Ministry of Education and Training, through feedback from training institutions and candidates, there are currently a number of candidates who, when enrolling directly at the school, discovered that they had not confirmed their enrollment on the system.

To facilitate candidates, the Ministry of Education and Training announced that it will continue to open the system for candidates to complete admission confirmation procedures before 5:00 p.m. on August 31.

Previously, on the evening of August 27, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the latest data on full-time university enrollment for the first period in 2024.

As of 5:00 p.m. on August 27, the deadline for confirming admission, 551,497 candidates had confirmed their admission online on the system, reaching 81.87% of the number of candidates admitted in the first round on the system. This year's admission rate is higher than last year (80.34%).

In 2024, the total number of candidates registering for university admission is more than 733,000, of which 673,586 candidates passed the first round of the system.

Thus, there were about 122,107 candidates who did not confirm their admission, accounting for 18.13% of the total number of candidates admitted in the first round.

According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, if candidates have not confirmed their admission on the common system of the Ministry of Education and Training, they have the right to register for additional admission to other schools as usual.

Candidates who have passed the entrance exam and have confirmed their enrollment will not be considered for additional admission, except in cases where the head of the training institution allows them not to enroll. Candidates who have confirmed their enrollment on the Ministry's system will not be able to automatically remove the cancellation information.
