Ministry of Education and Training extends online admission confirmation time

On August 28th, the Ministry of Education and Training will reopen the system to allow candidates to complete the enrollment confirmation procedures until 5 PM on August 31st.

According to the 2024 enrollment plan, the deadline for candidates to confirm their enrollment on the general enrollment support system was 5 PM on August 27th. However, according to the Ministry of Education and Training, based on feedback from training institutions and candidates, some candidates only discovered the oversight of not confirming their enrollment on the system when enrolling in person at the school.

To facilitate candidates, the Ministry of Education and Training announces that the system will remain open for candidates to complete the enrollment confirmation procedures until 5 PM on August 31st.

Earlier, on the evening of August 27th, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the latest figures on the first round of regular university admissions for 2024.

As of 5 PM on August 27th, the deadline for confirming enrollment, 551,497 candidates had confirmed their enrollment online through the system, reaching a rate of 81.87% compared to the number of candidates admitted in the first round. This year's enrollment rate is higher than last year (80.34%).

In 2024, the total number of candidates applying for university admission was over 733,000, of which 673,586 were admitted through the first round of the system.

Thus, approximately 122,107 candidates did not confirm their enrollment, accounting for 18.13% of the total number of candidates admitted in the first round.

According to regulations from the Ministry of Education and Training, if a candidate has not confirmed their enrollment on the Ministry's online system, they are entitled to register for supplementary admission to another school as usual.

As for candidates who have been admitted and have confirmed their enrollment, they are not eligible for supplementary admission, except in cases where the head of the training institution allows them to not enroll. For cases where enrollment has been confirmed on the Ministry's system, the cancellation information cannot be removed.
