(QNgTV)- The Ministry of Justice is reviewing a draft decree regulating minimum wages for employees working under labor contracts chaired by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Specifically, the regional minimum wage increase is 7.2% and will be applied from January 1, 2026. This is the same level as the National Wage Council's unanimous recommendation to the Government .

There are 4 minimum wage zones: zone 1 is 5.31 million VND/month, zone 2 is 4.73 million VND/month, zone 3 is 4.14 million VND/month and zone 4 is 3.7 million VND/month.

Thus, the minimum wage will increase by 250,000 - 350,000 VND (average 7.2%) compared to current.

The Ministry of Home Affairs also proposed minimum hourly wages including region 1 at 25,500 VND/hour, region 2 at 22,700 VND/hour, region 3 at 20,000 VND/hour and region 4 at 17,800 VND/hour.

Experts from the Ministry of Home Affairs analyzed that the 7.2% salary increase has shared and harmonized the interests of employees and employers. In particular, the salary increase helps improve the lives of employees and maintain the momentum of recovery and development of production and business of enterprises.
