Top 50 Most Effective Companies in Vietnam is a prestigious ranking annually conducted by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine in collaboration with Thien Viet Securities Company, with the consultation of leading economic experts.
The ranking is implemented based on measuring the business results of companies for 3 consecutive years, based on 3 growth indicators: revenue, return on equity (ROE) and earnings per share. The measurement results aim to objectively assess the management capacity of the enterprise.
12 years in the TOP 50 most effective business companies in Vietnam
This year's TOP 50 recognizes the strong presence of leading enterprises in Vietnam, operating effectively in many important economic sectors such as retail, consumption, banking, and manufacturing.
For example, Masan Group (HOSE: MSN) continues to be honored in the TOP 50 for 12 consecutive years. This achievement is a recognition of Masan's continuous development, achieving breakthrough and sustainable growth, contributing to the development of the country's economy.
After nearly 30 years of establishment and development, Masan is now one of the leading enterprises in the retail consumer sector in Vietnam. Currently, Masan owns more than 4,200 points of sale across the country, serving the essential consumption needs of 100 million Vietnamese consumers.
Masan's ecosystem includes many areas with growth potential such as: fast-moving consumer goods (Masan Consumer with Chin-Su, Nam Ngu, Omachi, Kokomi, Wake-Up 247, Vinacafé), branded meat (Masan MeatLife with MeatDeli, Ponnie, Heo Cao Boi). Retail activities operated by WinCommerce include WinMart, WinMart+), tea and coffee (Phuc Long Heritage), high-tech materials (Masan High-Tech Materials).
In 2025, this group will mark many turning points in its strategy of focusing on the retail consumption sector, expanding its network in rural areas with a strategy of modernizing the retail industry, promoting the Go Digital strategy (digital transformation), innovation, and investing in technology to create quality and diverse products to best serve domestic demand as well as export to major markets such as the US, Japan, Australia, Korea, Canada, etc.
Complete 90% of the annual profit plan in the first 9 months of 2025
According to information from the enterprise, Masan expects to complete about 90% of the 2025 base scenario profit plan after only 9 months. Specifically, profit after tax before minority interests (NPAT Pre-MI) is estimated at VND 1,827 billion in the third quarter, bringing the cumulative 9 months to nearly VND 4,430 billion, compared to the whole year target of about VND 4,875 - 6,500 billion.
The important driving force comes from WinCommerce (WCM) - a retail chain with more than 4,200 points of sale nationwide, of which 75% of newly opened stores are concentrated in rural areas. WCM recorded revenue of more than VND25,000 billion in the first 8 months of the year, up 16.1% over the same period and exceeding the annual growth plan. In August alone, revenue reached VND3,573 billion, up 24.2% over the same period, reflecting the clear rebound of domestic purchasing power and the effectiveness of the modern retail model.
Masan MEATLife (MML), a member of the Masan ecosystem, also made steady progress after restructuring. In August 2025, MML's revenue reached VND999 billion (+11.1%), while profit after tax increased by 60.5% to VND35 billion. EBIT and EBITDA both improved sharply, showing that operating efficiency and profit margins are being consolidated. This result reflects the trend of consumers shifting to branded, safe and traceable meat products.
According to the September 2025 update report, Bao Viet Securities (BVSC) commented: Masan's main growth drivers are identified as coming from WinCommerce, Masan MEATLife, Masan High-Tech Materials and Phuc Long, while Masan Consumer is expected to recover strongly from 2026.
In parallel with its business activities, Masan always focuses on implementing corporate social responsibility (CSR) through impactful initiatives, focusing on economic development, infrastructure, health and nutrition, education and community support with an estimated total financial contribution of more than VND 144 billion in 2024. These efforts not only contribute to local development but also provide significant financial and in-kind support to communities across Vietnam.
