(GLO) - During the 2020-2025 term, the work of developing Party members in Gia Lai province achieved many important results, directly contributing to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization.

Party committees have focused on developing party members among youth union members, ethnic minorities, religious communities, private business owners, etc., thereby supplementing the Party with new vitality and ensuring continuity and sustainable development.

Wherever there are people, there must be core party members.

Along with leading the implementation of production and business tasks, Becamex Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company is a shining example in the work of developing Party members in enterprises under the Party Committee of the Provincial Economic Zone. During the 2022-2025 term, the Party branch admitted 15 outstanding individuals into the Party, bringing the total number of Party members to 26.

Mr. Ha Thuc Duy Sang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of Becamex Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company, said: Following the Resolution of the Provincial Economic Zone Party Committee, the Party branch has focused on creating a pool of outstanding individuals, training and recruiting new Party members, considering this a crucial political task. “Most Party members in the branch are positive contributors, leading the way in all activities, production and business, thanks to which the company maintains stability and achieves steady development,” Mr. Sang said.

In rural communes and ethnic minority areas, the Party committees pay great attention to the recruitment of new Party members. During the 2020-2025 term, the Phu Thien commune Party committee admitted 212 new members, bringing the total number of Party members to 1,462; averaging 3.1% annually, exceeding the target set by the commune Party committee's resolution. Currently, the Party committee has 700 ethnic minority members (47.8%), 616 female members (42.1%), 55 members with religious beliefs (3.76%), and 108 young members (7.38%).

The Party Secretary of Phu Thien commune, Vu Hong Duy, emphasized: “We focus on identifying and nurturing outstanding individuals from patriotic emulation movements, especially the youth union members and outstanding members of associations and organizations; prioritizing the recruitment of female party members, ethnic minorities, and religious followers. This helps the Party organization stay close to the people, be practical, and have a diverse structure.”

In the Chư Sê commune Party Committee, 432 new Party members were admitted during the past term, achieving 100.9% of the target. The majority of these new members are outstanding young people with good education and a desire to contribute, helping to rejuvenate the workforce and ensure a solid succession. The Chư Sê commune Party Committee also made its mark by establishing a Party organization within a private enterprise – a testament to the expansion and diversification of Party member development sources.

According to Ms. Rah Lan H'Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Chu Se commune, the key factor in developing Party members remains the quality of the recruitment pool. New Party members must mature from practical experience, be recognized by the collective, and be trusted by the people, not just rely on a clean record or participation in Party awareness training courses. In addition, the exemplary role of cadres and Party members, especially leaders, is decisive. The exemplary conduct, dedication, and prestige of Party members are the most convincing evidence, inspiring aspirations and motivating the masses to voluntarily strive to join the ranks of the Party.

In KDang commune, during the past term, 155 people participated in Party awareness training courses, and 105 new Party members were admitted, achieving 4% of the target set at the beginning of the term. According to the commune's Party Secretary, Le Thi Hue: "We linked Party member development with grassroots emulation movements, focusing on the mentoring and guidance role of official Party members for outstanding individuals. As a result, the number of Party members admitted has been both sufficient and of high quality."

According to the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, the work of developing Party members has been focused on and directed by Party committees at all levels, with many Party committees and organizations increasing both the quantity and quality of new members admitted annually. From the beginning of the 2020-2025 term to the present, the entire Provincial Party Committee has admitted 21,572 new members, exceeding the target by 222 members. To date, the total number of Party members in the province has reached 147,054.

Comrade Mai Viet Trung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, assessed: Along with exceeding the target set by the Provincial Party Congress Resolution on admitting new party members, the quality of new party members has improved, basically meeting the requirements and tasks, ensuring continuity and development, and directly contributing to enhancing the capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization. Annually, over 92% of party branches successfully complete their tasks; and 91% or more of party members successfully complete their tasks.

“In practice, diversifying the sources of Party member development has brought new vitality to grassroots Party organizations. In many Party branches and grassroots Party committees, the participation of young Party members, women, ethnic minorities, and religious followers… has helped make the emulation movement at the unit and locality more dynamic and creative, contributing positively to the overall development of the province,” Mr. Mai Viet Trung emphasized.

Comrade Ho Quoc Dung, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, affirmed: The province consistently prioritizes quality over quantity in the development of Party members. New Party members must possess firm political qualities, impeccable ethics, be trained and tested in practice, have the right motivation to join the Party, and have a correct and complete understanding of the Party. This contributes to ensuring the continuity, development, and replenishment of new vitality for the Party, enhancing the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that developing Party members is a crucial task in Party building. The development of new Party members must be linked to building a successor generation of cadres, supplementing the Party's vitality, and contributing to enhancing the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations. The Provincial Party Committee and its Standing Committee will continue to direct and guide Party committees and branches to focus on Party member development, especially in rural areas, remote areas, areas inhabited by ethnic minorities, areas with a large number of religious followers, and private enterprises…

Along with increasing the number of members, the province continues to improve the quality of training and professional development in Party work; strictly implementing the procedures for admitting new Party members, ensuring thoroughness and adherence to principles.

Our guiding principle is that wherever there are people, there must be core Party members. New Party members are not only trained in theory, but also honed in practical production, mass organization work, and social movements. As a result, the young Party members are highly qualified, have a strong desire to contribute, and help rejuvenate the ranks.”
