Helen Williams has just been honored as the person who made the world's longest handmade wig.
Guinness World Records has confirmed that professional wigmaker Helen Williams has created the world's longest handmade wig, with impressively long locks.
Williams said she used 1,000 hair bundles, 12 cans of hairspray, 35 tubes of hair glue and 6,250 hairpins to assemble the giant headband. The total cost to complete this handmade wig was $2,500.
Sharing with the representative of the Guinness World Records Organization, Ms. Williams said: “Finding the materials to make the longest wig was not an easy task… My experience in making wigs helped a lot in this effort.”
Williams has been a professional wigmaker for about eight years and typically makes between 50 and 300 wigs a week. During her time in the business, Williams says, she has trained hundreds of students and made thousands of wigs.
“This achievement is the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me… My friends and family encouraged me. I didn’t want to disappoint them, so I focused on my work. As a result, I made the world’s longest handmade wig,” Williams said./.
