To enhance the political awareness of veteran cadres and members, the associations at all levels have proactively monitored the ideological situation of each member and public opinion. Propaganda work is no longer dry and abstract but is concretized through practical actions and deeds, helping members grasp the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws.
Mr. Nguyen Van Huong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association, stated: Veterans associations at all levels in the province have consistently promoted political and ideological education through organizing extensive study and dissemination of the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations. In addition, the associations at all levels have resolutely prevented, repelled, and strictly dealt with cadres, Party members, and association members who show signs of moral degradation or "self-evolution" and "self-transformation," contributing to building a clean and strong association.
According to information from the Provincial Veterans Association, from 2025 to the present, the association at all levels has organized over 900 sessions to disseminate the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations to more than 30,000 cadres, members, and citizens. The participation rate of members in studying and understanding Party resolutions reached over 90%; and over 4,250 cadres and members participated in the political commentary competition on protecting the Party's ideological foundation.
With their political fortitude honed, veterans not only fulfill their duties as members but also become outstanding individuals. From 2025 to the present, the veterans' associations at all levels have recommended over 520 outstanding members to the Party organization for consideration and training, of which 107 members have been admitted to the Party. Currently, the province has 10,314 veteran members who are Party members (accounting for 29% of the total membership). Notably, during this term, 1,046 veterans' association officials and members were elected to participate in Party committees at all levels and in political organizations from the provincial to the grassroots level.
Mr. Nong Ngoc Quy, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Gia commune and Chairman of the Veterans Association of Binh Gia commune, said: "To enhance the political and ideological fortitude of our members, we regularly disseminate Party resolutions, integrating their dissemination into branch meetings and movement activities so that members can easily understand and implement them. Thanks to this, cadres and members always maintain their political fortitude and play an exemplary role at the grassroots level. Currently, the entire association has 36 members participating in Party committees, People's Councils, Front work committees, and other political and social organizations; in 2025, we recommended two outstanding members to the Party for consideration, and one comrade was honored to be admitted."
Mr. Lanh Dang Dong, a veteran from Phien Mau village, Yen Phuc commune, shared: "As a Party member, a soldier, and the head of the Party branch, I always proactively disseminate the Party and State's policies and guidelines to the people. If I want the people to trust me, I must lead by example, take the lead in developing my family's economy , and enthusiastically participate in patriotic emulation movements. Only then can I mobilize the people to work together to implement them."
With synchronized solutions in political and ideological education, the Veterans' Associations at all levels in the province are continuing to build a team of members with strong character, responsibility, and exemplary spirit, contributing to maintaining the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, building an increasingly strong association, and meeting the requirements of the tasks in the new situation.
