Recently, Brooklyn Beckham has once again been the center of attention after appearing in a new DoorDash advertisement in the US, in which he is believed to have subtly alluded to tensions within the Beckham family.
In a commercial related to the 2026 World Cup , Brooklyn says to the camera: "You're probably wondering why I'm watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 at home. It's not because I don't have tickets, but... it's a long story." He then hands a bag of tickets to a DoorDash employee and says: "These tickets could be for someone else... else." This line was quickly interpreted by the British media as an allusion to the strained relationship between Brooklyn and his family.

According to Mirror , Brooklyn is said to have received a huge fee from this advertising contract. However, PR expert Mark Borkowski argues that Brooklyn's actions not only damage his own reputation but now threaten his family's brand.
He said: “This will not end well for the Beckhams. Money and fame cannot buy happiness or harmony. David and Victoria must forget about the brand; family should come first.”
Mark Borkowski also said that Brooklyn might feel liberated by separating himself from the "empire" built by his parents, but this is having a negative impact on David and Victoria. He added: "What makes this painful is that they all seem to be trapped in a narrative they no longer control."
The controversy surrounding the new advertisement emerged shortly after Harper Beckham, Brooklyn's 14-year-old sister, reportedly visited his Los Angeles home following David Beckham's Hollywood Walk of Fame inscription. According to The Sun , Harper's visit was "unannounced," making Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz uncomfortable.

A source told The Sun that Brooklyn and Nicola knew Harper had come to the house but didn't respond. The source suggested the visit "felt like a planned move" from the family and made the couple feel awkward.
Later, a Brooklyn representative told Page Six that the fact the photographers were present at the exact moment the letter was delivered "said it all," and suggested the event "was staged for the cameras."
However, these statements reportedly displeased sources close to David and Victoria Beckham. One source told the Daily Mail that these were “unpleasant accusations” and that it was sad that an innocent little girl like Harper was dragged into this controversy. The source said: “She just misses her brother very much.”
The Beckham family has not yet issued a new official statement regarding the series of controversies.
