Ca Mau: Small actions, big impact

In a practical effort to organize activities in response to the gratitude and remembrance movement and to strengthen the solidarity between the military and the people, on June 4th, the Military Command of Hung My commune (under the Military Command of Ca Mau province) deployed militia officers and soldiers to assist in reinforcing and building the foundation of the house for the family of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Truong Thi Hue, currently residing in Thi Tuong B hamlet, Hung My commune.

Mrs. Truong Thi Hue is elderly and lives alone without direct care. Her house, after many years of use, has seriously deteriorated, with the foundation significantly lower than the surrounding area. During the rainy season, flooding occurs frequently, greatly affecting her daily life and health. Understanding and sharing her difficulties, the Military Command of Hung My commune proactively developed a plan, mobilized forces, and coordinated with the hamlet's departments, agencies, and organizations to urgently undertake this meaningful task.

Militia forces of the Hung My Commune Military Command ( Ca Mau Provincial Military Command) transported soil and leveled the foundation of a house to help Heroic Vietnamese Mother Truong Thi Hue stabilize her life before the rainy season.

From early morning, the atmosphere at the home of Mrs. Truong Thi Hue was bustling. Under the direct command of the commune's Military Command, the militia and local forces, undeterred by difficulties, carried out tasks ranging from transporting earth and stones, leveling and raising the foundation of the house, to cleaning and clearing the pathways around the property. The energy, enthusiasm, and sweat dripping down the dark green uniforms of the soldiers highlighted the sense of responsibility of the armed forces on the front lines at the grassroots level.

This timely action not only has material value, helping Mother stabilize her daily life, but also serves as a great source of spiritual encouragement, expressing the profound gratitude of today's generation for the sacrifices and losses of the heroic martyrs and the Heroic Vietnamese Mothers.

The community assistance activities of the Hung My Commune Military Command are a vivid example of small actions with profound humanitarian significance. Through these activities, they contribute to educating revolutionary traditions and fostering patriotism among local armed forces officers and soldiers; while further enhancing and promoting the noble qualities of the Ho Chi Minh Army, strengthening the close bond between the military and the people, jointly building a national defense system, and consolidating a strong "people's support" at the grassroots level.
