According to a report by the Ministry of Planning and Investment , the implementation of national target programs for the 2021-2025 period has received attention and guidance from all levels, sectors, and localities; the inspection and monitoring of the progress and disbursement of funds for these programs have been carried out regularly and continuously. Regarding fund disbursement, in 2023, 40,187 billion VND was disbursed, reaching 61.5% of the plan. For the 2024 plan, the disbursement results in the first two months of the year reached approximately 3,292 billion VND, achieving 15% of the plan.
To date, 78% of communes nationwide have met the new rural development standards, with an average of 17.1 criteria per commune; 280 district-level units in 58 provinces and centrally-administered cities have been recognized by the Prime Minister as having completed the task of achieving new rural development standards (accounting for approximately 43.6% of the total number of district-level units nationwide). Nationwide, there are 11,056 OCOP products achieving 3 stars or higher; the poverty rate according to the multidimensional poverty standard in 2023 is 2.93%, a decrease of 1.1%.
In Long An province, in 2023, the allocated capital plan was 368.869 billion VND, and the province disbursed approximately 291.561 billion VND of the National Target Program capital, reaching over 79% of the plan. The capital plan for 2024 allocated to implement the National Target Program is 526.855 billion VND; to date, 20.879 billion VND has been disbursed, reaching 6.18% of the plan.
At the meeting, representatives from ministries, sectors, and localities assessed the implementation results; highlighted difficulties and obstacles; and proposed solutions to promote the implementation of national target programs in the coming period.
Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Central Steering Committee for National Target Programs - Tran Luu Quang requested that ministries, sectors, and localities be more decisive and proactive, and especially emphasize the role of leaders in organizing the implementation of national target programs.
At the same time, he suggested that localities should focus on studying newly issued documents, especially decrees and circulars, in order to organize their implementation; report difficulties and obstacles so that they can be resolved promptly; proactively integrate capital sources to carry out focused and targeted investments;.../.
