- Le Vinh Toan is very grateful to the audience for their affection for the musical film "Memories of the Homeland". For Toan, this is not just an artistic project, but a song of memories, the heartfelt voice of a son far from home who always longs for his parents, his homeland, the bamboo groves, the ferry, and his mother's lullabies. When "Memories of the Homeland" was produced and warmly received by Vietnam Television, I felt like I had just returned to my old village, holding hands with the audience as we walked along the riverbanks of my hometown, recounting old stories through melodies. Toan hopes that every frame, every song carries within it the breath of the land, the people, and the spirit of his homeland.

- It's safe to say that to achieve the success he has today, Le Vinh Toan has gone through a bumpy, arduous, and difficult journey. Could you share about that journey?

Toan's musical journey is like a village dike after the rainy season—rough, slippery, and requiring careful, cautious steps in many sections. He has nothing but a simple, rustic voice and a heart that races whenever he hears the sound of music emanating from the neighborhood loudspeakers or a folk song sung in the twilight. Some nights, he hears the faint sound of his mother's lullaby by the oil lamp. There are times when he only has enough money for one meal, but he never gives up. Music is not an easy path, but it's the one Toan chose with all his heart, and each hardship is a musical note that nurtures his growth, little by little.

- You only applied to the Vietnam National Academy of Music at the age of 22. How do you see your efforts now that you've been discovered and mentored despite being "too old" to enter the profession?

- Toan never thought he would have the opportunity to enter the Vietnam National Academy of Music, especially since he was long past the age when he should have been a student. But life was miraculous when Toan met singer Huyen Trang, who introduced him to Ms. Tan Nhan, a teacher who saw in Toan a belief. I entered the lecture hall not with advantages, but with a burning desire. Toan sings like a farmer plowing his field, quietly, diligently, and sincerely. With the belief that as long as an artist lives true to their voice, even if they come late, the audience will still readily accept them.

- Is the simple, genuine, and thoughtful quality in Vinh Toan's singing style a result of his life experiences?

- Toan believes that music is the echo of life. For Toan, it's the days of hardship, the early morning and late night journeys, the sound of his mother's lullaby in the hammock, his father's diligent work in the vegetable garden, his childhood in the flooded fields... All of these things seep into his blood, becoming musical notes within him. When he sings, he doesn't try to sing beautifully, but simply wants to tell a story in his own voice, with a heart that has experienced pain, happiness, and the struggles of life. And perhaps that's why listeners feel the authenticity in it, as if a familiar person is sitting beside them, telling their life story through song.

- It seems Vinh Toan has great faith in his artistic choices?

Toan not only believes in it, but lives for it. Because if he didn't believe, he would have stopped a long time ago, at the most difficult turning points. Toan still remembers the heartwarming advice from Ms. Tan Nhan and Mr. Le Anh Dung – great artists not only for their talent but also for how they kept the flame of their profession burning in their hearts. They believed in Toan, and that made Toan believe in himself even more. Art is not an easy path, but it is a beautiful path because of the silent sacrifices, the perseverance, and the faith. Toan believes that if he walks with true love, with patience and tireless work, one day, music will lead him to where he truly belongs.

- Can Vinh Toan share some details about his music project this year?

- Actually, this year will be quite busy and special for Toan. Toan is working on a new music project with great passion. However, because the project is still in the conceptual and planning stages, Toan cannot share details at this time. But certainly, when the time is right, Toan will share it with the audience with all due respect - as the most sincere musical gift to those who have always followed and loved Le Vinh Toan.

- Thank you, singer Le Vinh Toan, and I wish you further success in your artistic career.
