On June 15th, Mạnh Quỳnh announced via his personal page that recently, many fake accounts impersonating him have appeared on TikTok to solicit charitable donations. The singer affirmed that he does not use this social media platform and has not organized any fundraising campaigns.
"Everyone should verify information from official channels; this could be a scam or impersonation. Please check if the account is Mạnh Quỳnh's official account. Do not transfer money until you verify the source of the fundraising appeal. Report the account to TikTok with 'Fake' or 'Scam'. If you have clear evidence of impersonation for fundraising, you can save screenshots, account links, and the content of the appeal as evidence," the singer warned his audience.

Previously, the singer also warned about many websites impersonating his image to advertise weight-loss products and spreading false stories through editing and manipulation.
"My lawyer has documented all those images and advertising videos to report to the police. I have never accepted any advertising contracts from any brand. Please be careful not to fall into this scam," he said.
Before Mạnh Quỳnh, many Vietnamese artists had also spoken out to warn about the problem of people impersonating their names for personal gain.
In early May, Ly Hai expressed his outrage when many social media sites used AI to fake images and voices of him and his wife to advertise nutritional supplements and health products. According to the director, AI technology is becoming increasingly sophisticated, which worries him that his relatives and elderly family members might be deceived.
"I'm sharing the fake AI clip and link in the comments below as a warning. These contents were not directly posted or confirmed by my wife and me, and have not been verified. Please take a moment to remind your loved ones: Check information from official channels (with a blue checkmark); Do not buy goods or transfer money through unfamiliar links; Proactively remind your relatives, especially the elderly, to avoid unfortunate incidents," according to Ly Hai.
Actor Quoc Truong once warned viewers about some channels using AI technology to create images and information of him for fraudulent purposes. MC Dai Nghia revealed that he was also a victim of having his image exploited and AI-generated to create false content.
