On the afternoon of September 27th, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province issued a press release regarding the conclusions of the inspection of the Department of Education and Training, the Director of the Department, and related organizations and individuals in organizing the entrance examination for 10th grade high school in the 2024-2025 school year, as well as disciplinary actions against leading and managerial officials and the results of the 10th grade entrance examination following the inspection conclusions.

Based on the inspection findings and the recommendations of the Disciplinary Council for leading and managerial civil servants, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province issued disciplinary decisions against leading and managerial civil servants of the Department of Education and Training.

Specifically, the Chairman of Thai Binh province decided to discipline Mr. Nguyen Viet Hien, Director of the Department of Education and Training, by dismissing him from his position; and to discipline Ms. Tran Thi Bich Van, Deputy Director of the Department, by reprimanding her.

As for Mr. Dang Xuan Phong - Deputy Director of the Department, he must seriously review his actions and learn from this experience.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ha, Deputy Director of the Department, must undergo a review and learn from his mistakes at the review meeting for leading and managerial officials of the Department of Education and Training.

Regarding organizations and individuals under or directly affiliated with the Thai Binh Department of Education and Training that have committed violations as stated in the inspection reports, the Provincial People's Committee directs the Department to review and handle them according to procedures, decentralization, and authority, ensuring objectivity, fairness, transparency, strictness, and compliance with the law. After obtaining the results, the Department will report to the relevant authorities as prescribed.

"The handling of individuals who allowed violations to occur reflects an educational , cautionary, and deterrent spirit, but is also extremely resolute and strict; the officials and civil servants who allowed the violations to occur have fully recognized their responsibilities and accepted disciplinary measures," the People's Committee of Thai Binh province affirmed.

According to the People's Committee of Thai Binh province, based on the inspection conclusions, the Provincial People's Committee has directed the Department of Education and Training to carry out the procedures within its authority to announce the exam results and organize the selection process according to regulations.

After two rounds of admissions, the Department of Education has allocated 525 places for Thai Binh Specialized High School and 15,770 places for public high schools.

Following the inspection report and the announcement of results on August 20th, 252 candidates with a total of 490 exam papers requested a review. The results showed that 489 papers had no change in score; 1 paper increased by 0.5 points, but this did not affect the overall admission results.

On September 4th, based on the assigned quotas, the number of students who did not enroll, and the recommendations of the Admissions Council of public high schools, the Department announced the supplementary enrollment quotas for each school.

As a result, 87 candidates were admitted through the supplementary admissions process. Therefore, the total number of approved candidates is 16,287. To date, high schools have stabilized and begun the new school year.

The People's Committee of Thai Binh province has been directing the Department of Education and Training and other relevant agencies to implement comprehensive solutions to successfully fulfill the tasks of the school year.
