Mui Ne is an attractive destination with its long stretches of beach and beautiful sand dunes resembling the Sahara Desert. Therefore, Lonely Planet has selected and recommended it as a must-visit place when coming to Vietnam.
Since the beginning of 2023, the famous American travel guide Lonely Planet has featured articles introducing and praising the beauty of Vietnam, aiming to help international tourists have enjoyable experiences. These articles mention things like "10 of Vietnam's Most Beautiful Natural Wonders," "10 of Vietnam's Most Beautiful Beaches," and "Must-See Attractions in Mui Ne"... In these articles, the guide consistently selects Mui Ne as one of the must-see destinations for tourists visiting Vietnam. Notably, it mentions the expressway as follows: "From mid-2023, the Dau Giay - Phan Thiet expressway opened, helping tourists shorten travel time between Ho Chi Minh City and Mui Ne from 4.5 hours to just over 2 hours."
Specifically, Lonely Planet selected the 10 most beautiful beaches in Vietnam, with the general comment: "Although Vietnam is not as famous for its beaches with trees casting shadows on the blue water as its Southeast Asian neighbors, Vietnam possesses a 3,400km long coastline with unique beauty that tourists should admire." Mui Ne beach was ranked 5th, likened to a "precious gem" among the resorts along Vietnam's beaches. However, in recent years, tidal erosion has caused landslides and beach erosion, somewhat diminishing the charm of the golden sand in certain sections. Depending on the season, the beach has a hidden beauty, creating an ideal spot for those who like to hold evening parties and sunbathe on the beach during the day. Furthermore, Mui Ne is a popular destination for kitesurfing enthusiasts and even has a kitesurfing training center. This is due to the ideal wind conditions from the end of October to April of the following year.

Also in this guidebook, Mui Ne Sand Dunes were voted one of the 10 most beautiful natural wonders in Vietnam. Lonely Planet introduces: Mui Ne is famous for its giant red and white sand dunes. The red sand dunes, called the Red Dunes, are located north of Mui Ne, smaller than the white sand dunes, also known as the White Sand Dunes, located 24 km northeast of Mui Ne. Even more impressive are the constant sea breezes, sculpting the dunes into stunning shapes, resembling the Sahara Desert. To admire the majestic beauty of nature here, the guidebook suggests that visitors can rent plastic sheets for sandboarding and provides tips on how to do it.
Next, the article "Must-See Attractions in Mui Ne" introduces visitors to attractions such as the Fishing Village, Fairy Stream, Po Shanu Cham Tower…; and a variety of impressive services from dining, shopping, and entertainment right in the heart of Mui Ne.
