More than just agricultural production, this is also a model of agritourism combining garden farming and experiential tourism, which is being implemented by some strawberry growers on the Pleiku plateau, gradually creating its own unique identity.
Hana strawberries from Japan are renowned for their rich sweetness, large size, juiciness, vibrant red color, and distinctive aroma. When introduced to Pleiku, this variety demonstrated excellent adaptability to the cool climate and highland soil conditions.
This compatibility has helped Hana strawberries grow and develop steadily, producing fruit of satisfactory quality, contributing to the diversity and richness of the fruit "map" here, and opening up new avenues for farmers in combining agricultural production with experiential tourism .

Taking advantage of the start of the strawberry season, Mr. Nguyen Duc Vinh (from Dien Hong ward) scheduled a strawberry picking experience for his family. He shared that several strawberry farms in Pleiku are now open to visitors for tours and hands-on experiences.
Almost every week, he takes his children to the strawberry farm, both to bring them closer to nature and to provide them with more space for outdoor play and exploration . What he cares about is that the farms cultivate strawberries using clean, safe agricultural practices, ensuring quality so that young children can safely pick and enjoy them right in the garden.

Vinh's son, Nguyen Duc Trong (born in 2020), couldn't hide his excitement as he held ripe red strawberries that he had picked himself.
That simple joy was expressed naturally by her: Picking strawberries was so much fun, and she also really enjoyed eating strawberries. Moments like these demonstrate the unique appeal of experiential agricultural tourism, especially for families with young children.
According to many farmers, the model of combining agricultural production with weekend tourism experiences has great potential for development. Currently, there are 3 strawberry farms operating under this model in Pleiku ward; in addition, there are several other farms in the Ia Grai and Dak Doa areas.
Recognizing the growing trend of consuming clean agricultural products and the increasing demand for unique experiences, Nha Gau Strawberry Garden (252 Tran Nhat Duat Street, Dien Hong Ward) has chosen to cultivate strawberries according to Global GAP standards.
Ms. Tran Thi Xuan, the owner of the orchard, said: "Hana Japanese strawberries are very suitable for the climate of Pleiku. When grown and cared for according to Global GAP standards, the strawberries are of high quality, with a delicious, sweet flavor."
As an agricultural engineer, she always aims for products to meet the strict requirements of good agricultural practices, ensuring safety for consumers' health.

In December, strawberry season officially begins, lasting until around April of the following year. Ms. Xuan said: "The period from Christmas to New Year's Day and Lunar New Year is when strawberries are ripe and at their most beautiful. Many kindergartens and customers have contacted us to schedule trips for their children to experience strawberry picking."
However, the garden only accepts visitors when there are enough ripe strawberries to ensure everyone has a complete experience. The garden is open to visitors on weekends; weekdays are dedicated to care, allowing the plants time to rest and recover.
On sunny days with cool weather at the end of the year, visiting the Pleiku plateau and exploring Japanese strawberry gardens, picking and enjoying strawberries right in the garden is not only a delightful experience.
It's also an opportunity for people to connect with family, children, and friends, and enjoy relaxing moments amidst the highland nature in the face of increasingly hectic lives.
