Before embarking on her inspirational exchange with the female students, runner-up Chau Anh shared that she fondly recalled the early days of registering for Miss Vietnam.
Through this recruitment event, Chau Anh hopes to find a worthy successor, and at the same time find a new Miss who embodies all four pillars: Beauty, Culture, Intelligence, and Dedication.
When asked by students about the difficulties in the Miss Vietnam competition, runner-up Chau Anh said the most challenging parts were the anthropometric measurements and the closed-door interview. "The anthropometric measurements have strict criteria. The closed-door interview requires demonstrating critical thinking and social awareness. Although difficult, this is a great way to showcase skills, confidence, and the potential to win the crown," said runner-up Chau Anh. After undergoing a rigorous training process at Miss Vietnam and reflecting on it a year later, Chau Anh chose "maturity" to describe herself. Coming from a military background, the Miss Vietnam 2024 runner-up said she hesitated before participating in the competition. Upon achieving the first runner-up title, she realized the title came with a great responsibility to society, and a desire to contribute more to others. As for runner-up Van Nhi, the beauty queen said she was moved to meet so many students from Phenikaa University and share her journey participating in Miss Vietnam. To motivate the female students, runner-up Van Nhi said that the anthropometric measurements and closed-door interviews were the most challenging rounds for contestants, but the most difficult thing was overcoming oneself.
Van Nhi added that as someone who used to be afraid of public speaking, Miss Vietnam is a great environment to learn from. "I learned from the contestants, the organizers, the judges, and the audience. Now, I'm more confident, with the secret being to dare to do it, not to be afraid of not being good enough, but to seize opportunities, telling myself that the more I do, the more I get used to it," the beauty queen shared. Throughout her presentation, Van Nhi couldn't hide her happiness at returning home – to Phenikaa University. Every step she takes is a step towards her journey of self-improvement. First runner-up Van Nhi shared that her most amazing step was registering to compete in Miss Vietnam. "I never thought I would walk the catwalk in 20cm high heels, standing in front of thousands of spectators, but now I've done it. I am grateful and cherish that journey, grateful to Phenikaa and Miss Vietnam for showing me a better version of myself," the current Miss Vietnam runner-up concluded in the interview.
