According to the aviation industry, the use of electronic identification accounts not only facilitates management, but also makes it easier for users to check-in when boarding the plane, shortening the time compared to the traditional form of check-in.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, in order to facilitate the pilot, at the aviation security checkpoint (the location where airline documents are checked), a level 2 electronic identification account is accepted when passengers check in.
The steps are as follows: Ask the passenger to open a passenger's level 2 electronic identification account. Compare the passenger's photo on the level 2 e-ID account with the real person and compare the flight's passenger information with the information on the level 2 e-ID account.
Many instruction boards for using level 2 electronic identification accounts are arranged at the check-in counters and security checkpoints at Ca Mau Airport.
Airline employees participating in the pilot volunteered to use their phones and e-ID accounts in the pilot. In particular, airline staff participating in the pilot pledge not to use passenger information for illegal purposes.
The pilot is only carried out with voluntary passengers.
At the same time, at the aviation check-in counter, the aviation security check-in flow, the boarding point of the piloted aircraft must have a signboard and a notice board on the acceptance of level 2 electronic identification accounts when passengers check-in.
Mr. Pham Thanh Lam, Director of Ca Mau Airport, said: "In order to ensure the effective piloting of the use of level 2 electronic identification accounts, with the support of the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order (Provincial Public Security), up to now, 100% of the unit's employees have been installed with level 2 electronic identification accounts. At the same time, they have been guided on how to use it for personal and professional purposes. At Ca Mau Airport, there are instruction boards for passengers to know and use when needed.
Lieutenant Lam Duy Dang, an officer of the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order (Provincial Police), was directly present at Ca Mau Airport, instructing people to use electronic identification accounts at level 2, on the morning of June 3.
Security staff perform a security check using the customer's electronic identification account before entering the waiting room to board the plane.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, the pilot will be carried out simultaneously at airports from June 1, 6 to the end of August 2023, 1 for domestic flights.
At the end of the pilot, the agencies will report the statistical results, assess the risks and difficulties and obstacles and propose a plan to accept the passenger's level 2 e-ID account in the next time./.
