As one of the three gateway hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City, Thu Duc Regional General Hospital is urgently under construction, expected to officially operate in September.
As noted by the reporter People intellectual, Thu Duc Regional General Hospital (Linh Trung Ward, Thu Duc City) many blocks have been gradually completed and reached about 80% of progress. The project is currently completing tiling, interior work and technical systems.
This project was started in November 11, with a total investment of more than 2021 billion VND, including 3.000 billion VND in equipment and 1.450 billion VND in construction costs. The project has 1.950 basement, 1 floors, and accommodates 10 beds.
As one of three key gateway hospital projects in Ho Chi Minh City, the contractor is rushing construction to put it into operation in time to contribute to "sharing the fire" for out-of-province patients.
The hospital was built with a scale of 1 basement, 10 floors (1 ground + 9 floors), total floor area nearly 78.281m².
After completing construction, Thu Duc Regional General Hospital will become a class I general hospital (including basic and specialized medical examination and treatment levels); Meet the health care needs of people in the eastern area of the city and neighboring provinces in the Southeast region.
At the same time, creating better health care conditions for people in the Thu Duc City area and reducing the load on final-level hospitals and inner-city areas.
Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh approved the investment policy with the goal of building new modern medical facilities, meeting Southeast Asian standards in Ho Chi Minh City gateway hospitals (Thu Duc Regional General Hospital, Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital, Cu Chi Regional General Hospital).
According to Dr. Cao Tan Phuoc, Director of Thu Duc Regional General Hospital, after the hospital comes into operation, it will be able to treat more than 1.000 inpatients and examine more than 5.000 outpatients.
Mr. Phuoc added that the hospital has sent a number of nurses and doctors to learn more about ophthalmology, cardiology, vascular intervention... to serve patients most effectively. In addition, the hospital has also prepared personnel to serve the hospital after completion.
According to records, some equipment is also gradually being completed such as escalators, modern clinics and miniature areas within the hospital campus. The patient room area is about 30m2, airy and clean.
Mr. Ly Bich, Project Commander, said that in September the hospital will be officially put into operation, 9 months faster than expected. Currently, more than 10 workers are working urgently to speed up progress, in some areas even working night shifts.
Workers are busy working to put the hospital into official operation in September this year.
Previously, in September 9, the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City approved a proposal on investment policy for equipment procurement project for 2023 gateway hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City, with a total capital of more than 3 billion VND.
Accordingly, Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital 1.491 billion VND, Thu Duc Regional General Hospital 1.450 billion VND, Cu Chi Regional General Hospital 1.450 billion VND.
