(Chinhphu.vn) - On the morning of March 29, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the State Steering Committee for important national works and projects, key transport sectors (Steering Committee) presided over 3th session of the Steering Committee.
The meeting was conducted in a live and online format between the bridgehead of the Government Headquarters and the bridgeheads of 46 provinces and centrally run cities that have important national and key works and projects in the transport sector. .
Attending the meeting were: Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee; Steering Committee members are ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, and agencies under the Government; Chairman of People's Committees of provinces and cities; representatives of project management boards, state economic groups, investors, consulting units, and construction contractors.
Opening the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that since its establishment and operation, the Steering Committee has closely followed reality, monitored and directed drastic management, promoting the implementation of projects and projects. Project to ensure progress, quality, technique, aesthetics, labor safety, and environmental sanitation; promptly remove difficulties, shortcomings and challenges during the implementation process; Review mechanisms and policies to adjust and supplement them promptly and in accordance with reality, creating an open investment environment to implement projects, especially large-scale projects...
According to the Prime Minister, currently, the country has 34 large projects, 86 important national component projects, key transportation sectors in 46 provinces and centrally run cities. Including 5 railway projects, 2 airport projects, the rest are road projects, mainly highways and ring roads in the Hanoi Capital region, and Ho Chi Minh City ring roads. Therefore, the task of the Steering Committee is huge.
After 9 sessions, the Steering Committee has more experience, works and projects are implemented better. The Prime Minister praised the members of the Steering Committee, especially the Transport sector and localities with projects. In the area, there has been high determination, great efforts, drastic actions, focus, focus... in all stages from investment procedures, site clearance, bidding, project management, care worried about the lives and livelihoods of affected people...
At the 9th session, the Steering Committee proposed 40 tasks, of which 16 are time-limited. The Prime Minister requested that at this 10th session, ministries, branches and localities report and discuss implementation results; shortcomings, limitations, difficulties and problems; Propose solutions to promote project implementation in the future.
