This project was approved by the Government for investment policy in 2019, with a scale of 685 hectares, invested by My Thuy International Port Joint Venture Joint Stock Company (MTIP) with a total investment capital of 14.234 billion VND.
The project's goal is to serve industrial establishments in the Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone and industrial parks in Quang Tri province, combined with attracting transit goods to Laos and Northeast Thailand. East-West Economic Corridor route; Guaranteed to receive ships with a tonnage of up to 100.000 tons.
It is known that when formed, My Thuy port will be the closest gateway to the East Sea on the East - West Economic Corridor, with a strategic location for cargo transportation; is an important driving force to accelerate investment attraction in the Southeast Economic Zone, industrial parks in Quang Tri province and inter-regional provinces of Laos and Thailand.
According to the plan and investment phasing, phase 1 from 2018-2025 will be completed, put into operation 4 ports, with an area of 133,67 hectares, by 2031, 7 ports will be put into operation and by 2036, 10 ports will be put into operation. XNUMX is XNUMX berths.
At the construction launch ceremony, the investor made a commitment and determination to complete 2025 to 2 berths for ships with a tonnage of up to 4 tons by the end of 100.000.

Mr. Vo Van Hung - Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee - suggested that investors "start construction today" and must comply with the commitment that by the end of 2025, the first item will be completed and put into use. fairy.
