Warning from the phenomenon of high stroke patients: Actively prevent and reduce life pressure
Not only endangering life, stroke also leaves severe sequelae, greatly affecting the health, life and spirit of the patient. Medical experts have also warned that strokes tend to increase and become younger. Therefore, people need to actively learn ways to prevent, avoid and treat when a stroke occurs, and at the same time should reduce pressure in life.
Increased risk of stroke warning
Recently, the health sector has strengthened its recommendations about the increase of non-communicable diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, hypertension and especially stroke... These are the leading causes of death, leaving behind very severe sequelae.
According to the Department of Neurology - Stroke (Provincial General Hospital), which focuses on treating stroke patients in the province, the number of patients at the moment increased by 10-15% compared to the same period last year. At the same time, every day the Faculty receives from 18-20 patients, peak days up to 25-26 patients. With the current number of hospital beds of 70 beds, it only takes 2-3 days for such high number of patients to fill up the hospital bed. At that time, the Faculty was forced to transfer suitable patients to other specialized centers and hospitals.

Explaining this, doctor CKII Nguyen Van Trung, Head of the Department of Neurology - Stroke, said: The number of patients increased, but it is not possible to confirm specifically, exactly why the increase. It is also possible that because we have organized good communication, people's awareness has improved, so the number of stroke patients who have been transferred to the emergency hospital in time has increased.
The phenomenon of increased stroke patients should give early warning. To ensure timely management and treatment of stroke patients, the Board of Directors of the Provincial General Hospital has come up with many options, such as: Coordination of appropriate human resources, professional support, and human resource support from various departments. other faculty. At the same time, the Department of Neurology - Stroke was newly built and invested in more modern equipment.
Early detection, early emergency
Mr. Le Van Nui (in Tuy Phuoc district) whose mother had a stroke and was treated at the Department of Neurology and Stroke (provincial General Hospital), shared: My mother is 80 years old, has high blood pressure, after my mother She had signs of a stroke, we thought she was tired due to the hot weather. After a period of not getting better, we took her to the hospital, but it was too late for the "golden hour".
The case like Nui's mother above is very unfortunate. It is very beneficial for stroke patients to be taken to the emergency room in time, because if they arrive late, their ability to receive specific optimal treatment methods is greatly limited. Most of Current stroke methods are for patients to come to the hospital early, most of them must be 4, 5 hours before or 6 hours before.
Doctor Trung added: In stroke patients, about 80 – 85% of patients have cerebral vascular occlusion, also known as cerebral infarction. For a large number of patients with cerebral infarction, we will have methods of revascularization. First, we can use intravenous revascularization drugs such as plasminogen activators for intravenous infusion. However, this method is only effective for small blood clots, which block small blood vessels. In the case of larger blood clots, causing large vessel occlusion, the effectiveness of these drugs is very low, only 10%. At this time, we need a higher method, which is endovascular intervention. However, these methods all make stroke patients due to acute cerebral infarction, come early.
According to medical experts, stroke is a disease based on many factors, especially the underlying disease, along with stress, weather fluctuations... Many factors determine stroke patients. Therefore, a sudden change in any factor can cause a stroke. Extremely hot weather, rapid temperature differences, or sudden cold rain can all have a very strong impact on stroke patients. In particular, good control of underlying diseases, especially hypertension, will help reduce stroke and recurrent stroke patients.
