Chaos at Old Trafford

In the early morning of December 5 (Hanoi time), the 1-1 draw between MU and West Ham not only disappointed in terms of expertise, but also left behind a chaotic image right before the ball rolled.

MU fans have a bad experience.

Hundreds of Red Devils fans were left stranded outside Old Trafford after a serious incident at the ticket booth – described by many as the "worst ever seen".

According to reports, the flow of people into the stadium was seriously delayed due to the lengthy security check process and a series of problems related to the new ticketing system. Many fans missed the kick-off time, even though they arrived well before the match. Some only entered the stadium near the end of the first half.

Anger grew as the game ended in disappointment. United took the lead through Diogo Dalot in the 58th minute, but Magassa equalised in the final minutes. Many fans said they had endured an evening of both inconvenience and disappointment.

The main reason is believed to be the club’s move to NFC technology for all 2025/26 season tickets. All tickets are digital, stored in a mobile wallet and scanned directly at the turnstile. However, this process has been plagued with errors – from tickets not appearing on devices, poor connections, to inadequately prepared ticket inspectors.

Some fans said they were asked to line up again or go straight to the box office to resolve the situation, adding to the chaos. "I've seen this many times, but today was the worst," one angry fan shared.

This is not the first time the new system has caused problems. Hundreds of people were unable to get into the stadium on time in the opening game of the season against Arsenal. The problems were repeated after last week's defeat to Everton and have now reached a peak ahead of the clash with West Ham.
