Previously, at 13:30 on June 10, in the sea area about 6 nautical miles southeast of Que Duong beach, the task force of the Department of Professional Affairs and Law discovered that the wooden-shell fishing vessel KG-50 TS had many suspicious signs, so it gave a signal to stop the ship for administrative inspection.
The Coast Guard inspects ships that violate the law.
At the time of inspection, there were 4 crew members on board, led by Mr. Do Van Khanh (born in 1968, residing in Vinh Hiep, Rach Gia, Kien Giang) as captain. According to Mr. Khanh's testimony, the ship KG-94931 TS does not practice fishing but is transporting about 45.000 liters of DO oil. Through the initial inspection, all of these oils did not have invoices and documents proving the legal origin.
The functional force made a record and escorted the illegal fishing boat to the mainland for handling.
