Phan Thiet – Dau Giay Expressway through Ham Tan is heavily flooded

Due to prolonged heavy rain, by dawn on July 29, water from the roadside had entered the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay highway, the low-lying section at Km 25 through Ham Tan district.

This location is about 2km from the National Highway 55 intersection. At the scene, around 2am on July 29, the water rose high on the highway surface, the deepest section was nearly 1m. Many vehicles did not dare to pass through. Some trucks passing by were lifted by the water, drifted to the side of the road, and are currently half submerged and stuck at the scene.

The highway through Ham Tan was heavily flooded.

Many vehicles cannot move through the flooded section, traffic on the highway is congested.

In the above area, vehicles lined up on the Phan Thiet – Dau Giay highway. By the morning of the same day, the water had receded slightly but was still about 0.5 meters high. Vehicles moved slowly through the flooded area. Low-chassis vehicles had to wait and did not dare to pass.

Major Hoang Xuan An - Captain of Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 under Department 8, Traffic Police Department said that as soon as receiving the information, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 sent forces to regulate at the Ba Bau intersection with Dau Giay - Phan Thiet highway and the intersection in Xuan Loc district ( Dong Nai ) to request vehicles traveling on National Highway 1A not to get on the highway to avoid causing further congestion.
