Da Nang - The City of Bridges
In the overall landscape of Da Nang city, bridges serve both as transportation infrastructure and architectural landmarks. Each bridge possesses its own unique characteristics and story, attracting both domestic and international tourists visiting the city. Among them, the Han River Bridge stands out – a source of pride for the people of Da Nang. Inaugurated in 2000, it is not only the first and only swing bridge in Vietnam, but the Han River Bridge, built with the contributions of the people of Da Nang, is also a testament to the city's spirit of unity and aspiration for development.
Along with the city's development, many new bridges have been built, not only creating a vibrant and colorful picture for the city but also contributing to facilitating people's travel, connecting trade, developing socio -economic activities, and giving Da Nang a new look and the brand of "The City of Bridges".
Over the past 50 years, since the city's liberation and 28 years since Da Nang became a centrally-governed city, the bridges, intertwined with the city's history and development, are not merely transportation infrastructure but have become a source of pride and a symbol of the city. These bridges not only connect the two banks but also link the past with the future, contributing to making the city on the Han River a memorable and livable destination.
