That is the story of the friendship of two male students Luu Quang Vu and Ho Minh Tuong (both born in 2, 2008th grade students, Dakrong Middle and High School, Quang Tri province).
Every morning, Tuong would wait at the gate. When Vu was brought by his father, Tuong would pick him up, carry him to class, accompany him in all school activities, and at the end of the day, carry him to the gate for his relatives to pick him up. Whether it's sunny or rainy, early morning or late night, Tuong still carries you on his strong shoulders.
Over the years, the image of two students carrying each other to class has become familiar, receiving the sharing and admiration of teachers and students of Dakrong Middle and High School.

Luu Quang Vu, residing in A Ngo village, A Ngo commune, Dakrong district, was born as healthy as any other child. However, muscular dystrophy causes Vu's arms and legs to gradually shrink over time.
"I've had pain since I was 2 years old. It got worse as time went on. My parents took me to many places for treatment but nothing improved. My arms and legs kept shrinking. Before, even though I was in pain, I still tried to walk. For the past 3 years, I have not been able to stand up anymore. At home I have to ask my mom and dad, and when I go to school I have to ask my friends to carry me," Vu confided.
Vu's family is poor, his parents work as a waste collector, so they work very hard. Vu has a younger brother, who is in 1st grade this year and also shows signs of illness like him, his limbs are gradually weakening.

As for Ho Minh Tuong, for nearly 3 years, this guy has volunteered to be his "legs", accompanying his friends in many activities at school and at home. On days when Vu's father was busy, Tuong would come to your house to take you to school, and after school, he would take you home.
Tuong's house is nearly 3km from Vu's house. They have studied and played together since 6th grade, so the couple is very close and close. Sympathizing with Vu's unfortunate situation and admiring his friend's will and strength, Tuong is always close to encourage and help Vu in life and study.
“I love and admire Vu very much, he is also an example for me to learn from. Even though he is facing difficulties, he still has the strength to rise up. I'm very happy to have a friend like Vu. For me, carrying you to school every day is also a joy. I will carry you through high school and take the university entrance exam together," Tuong shared.

Teacher Nguyen Khuong Chinh, Vice Principal of Dakrong Middle and High School, commented that even though he was sick, Vu was very diligent, hard-working and achieved high results in his studies.
According to Mr. Chinh, Tuong and Vu's beautiful friendship is a shining example for students in the whole school. At the beginning of 10th grade, when students were given a choice of subject combinations to study according to their abilities, Tuong and Vu made different choices, leading to having to study in different classes.
In order to help his friend, Tuong also expressed his desire to change subjects to study in the same class as Vu and the school agreed. Teachers have also arranged and created favorable conditions for couples to sit at the same table so they can easily exchange learning and support each other in activities.

The school also highly appreciates the spirit of solidarity, love, and helping each other of Tuong and Vu. In the 2022-2023 school year, the school connected with sponsors and awarded scholarships to Tuong and Vu, each worth 10 million VND.
“The two of us have a very close friendship, many years of standing side by side, supporting each other, and encouraging each other to overcome difficulties and move forward to pursue their educational dreams. It is a beautiful and very precious friendship. In studying, you also have good sense so you are loved by many teachers," Mr. Chinh said.
