A "bridge" to help young people establish themselves and build their careers.

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Career counseling, guidance, and job placement for youth union members have long been meaningful annual activities of youth union branches at all levels in the province. In recent years, this activity has continued to receive attention from the Provincial Youth Union, with innovations and expansion of its target audience, thereby becoming a "bridge" bringing young people closer to the path of successful entrepreneurship and career development.

The job fair, jointly organized by the Provincial Youth Union, attracted a large number of union members and young people.

In early April 2025, the Thanh Hoa College of Health Sciences collaborated to organize a Career Fair, career counseling, and job placement event for students. The event attracted nearly 3,000 students, with over 2,000 job positions and opportunities introduced and connected. At the event, 15 businesses, employers, and training institutions from within and outside the province carried out various activities such as: promoting and introducing training programs, providing in-depth career counseling, vocational training, and recruitment. Many units had high labor needs and offered high salaries and benefits, including: Phuc Thinh General Hospital, Mega Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, An Sinh Medical Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, Dai An General Hospital, CPC1 Hanoi Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, and Medic Healthcare System...

In the first six months of 2025, in the communes and wards of Nghi Son, Hoang Hoa, Thach Thanh, and Bim Son, the Provincial Youth Center organized four job fairs, attracting more than 6,400 young people. At these fairs, many businesses from within and outside the province provided advice on domestic job markets and offered recruitment opportunities for factories and enterprises both domestically and internationally, as well as advice on studying abroad and overseas employment, thereby helping young people choose their future careers.

In addition to organizing job fairs, in the first six months of the year, the Provincial Youth Center also coordinated with reputable and capable businesses inside and outside the province to organize 12 counseling sessions on overseas employment and study abroad, attracting nearly 3,000 young people from units such as Quan Son, Ba Thuoc, Ngoc Lac, and Nong Cong.

According to Hoang Thanh Ha, Deputy Director of the Provincial Youth Center, “The center’s effective coordination in organizing career counseling, guidance, and job placement activities for young people has contributed to raising awareness, changing attitudes about career opportunities, and fostering the development of soft skills and abilities for youth union members. At the same time, it has become a ‘bridge’ helping youth union members, students, and graduates to connect with and find job opportunities in their trained fields at reputable organizations and businesses.”

Career counseling, guidance, and job placement for young people are key activities consistently organized by the Provincial Youth Union to contribute to the effective implementation of Plan No. 190/KH-UBND dated August 31, 2020, of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on "Organizing career counseling, guidance, and job placement for young people in Thanh Hoa province in the period 2021-2025". Implementing the plan, with the motto "Each Youth Union branch is a job counseling center, each Youth Union official is a counselor", every year Youth Union organizations have proactively coordinated with the education and training sector to promote career counseling and guidance for students; organize job fairs; and provide advice on overseas employment for Youth Union members. In the first six months of 2025, 100,000 Youth Union members and students received career counseling and guidance; 38,482 young people were placed in jobs, of which nearly 20,000 found stable employment. In addition, the youth organization always focuses on effectively utilizing the policies of the Party, the State, and the province regarding labor, vocational training, and job creation to support young people.

In the coming period, youth organizations will continue to advise Party committees and authorities at all levels on implementing policies to support young people's economic development with capital; and regularly monitor and understand the labor and employment situation of young people to provide realistic career guidance. Simultaneously, they will strengthen career counseling, job placement, and labor export connections for a large number of students and youth union members, focusing on disseminating information about the State's policies on vocational training and employment for young people, thereby guiding them to choose careers and jobs that match their abilities and strengths.
