In 2020, he decided to uproot his old coffee plantation, which had been there since 1986, and replace it with the high-yielding TR4 variety. The replanting was done using proper techniques, with thorough soil preparation before planting, resulting in healthy growth and development of the coffee plants.
While waiting for the coffee plants to mature, he intercropped them with corn and cassava. Once the coffee plants were established, he intercropped them with pepper. With 1 hectare of land, his family harvests an average of 3 tons of coffee and 1.5 tons of pepper.
Thanks to diligently switching to new rice varieties, the yield of one sao (approximately 1000 square meters) of his family's paddy field increased from 6 quintals to 7 quintals per season. For him, every inch of land is "an inch of gold," and if you put in the sweat and dedication, it will bring you a worthy income.

Amidst the massive wave of selling farmland (in 2018 and 2019) and the trend of young people leaving the village to work as factory workers for quick money, he always seized the opportunity to propagate and encourage young people to keep the land inherited from their ancestors for cultivation and livelihood.

"Working as a hired laborer brings immediate income, but when you get sick or old, you'll have nothing left. You must keep the land your parents gave you, and use the money you earn from working as a hired laborer to reinvest in the land by planting coffee, pepper, and durian. The land will never let you down," Mr. Y Jắk Kbuôr advised the young people.
His perseverance paid off. Many young people heeded his advice, determined to stay on their ancestral land and become wealthy. They built beautiful houses, bought cars, and preserved the land for future generations.
