Thu Ha introduces resin paintings
“Touch Workshop” is a project that Huynh Thi Thu Ha (born in 1999, residing in Binh Minh ward, Tay Ninh province) cherished and decided to implement, hoping to bring everyone a creative playground through manual activities with the goal of “Making a difference with your own hands”.
For Thu Ha, “Touch” means touching to understand, to know and appreciate the works you create. At “Touch Workshop”, people are not limited in terms of skills and artistic knowledge, they can create their own products with their own mark, creating unique gifts for themselves and their loved ones.
“Touch” to understand, to know and appreciate the work you create
Huynh Thi Thu Ha shared: “I am working in the financial sector in Ho Chi Minh City, my daily work is often related to numbers. After stressful working hours, I always look for an activity to help me relax and feel more comfortable. After a period of research, learning and having new experiences when participating in handicraft workshops, I hope to be able to share these interesting things with young people in Tay Ninh”.
Participating in the workshop, people can choose to paint resin, dioramas, make teddy bear keychains or paint conical hats. The special feature of resin painting is the use of resin glue, acrylic paint and some other materials (stone, plaster, sand, gravel) to create a unique handmade painting with many diverse themes such as country, ocean, natural landscape, ...
Dioramas are miniature landscape models that can use a variety of materials to create a vivid and artistic 3D scene. Instead of following fixed painting patterns, with resin or dioramas, participants can choose their own images and color combinations to recreate the majestic natural scenery in their own way.
With dioramas, the maker can freely create in his own way.
“In order to bring people new and effective painting experiences, ensuring product quality, I learn from my seniors, constantly experiment, and summarize concise and easy-to-understand methods while still ensuring product aesthetics and quality,” Thu Ha shared.
In just 3 hours, everyone together created pictures with endless sandy beaches, beaches with white foam waves, mossy rocks, grass bushes, and green trees on the island.
Nguyen Huynh Nhu (born in 1999, residing in Tan Ninh ward, Tay Ninh province) excitedly said: “I accidentally saw the post online and really enjoyed the resin painting activity. This is a quite effective way to relieve stress and relax on the weekend.”
Ms. Nguyen Thai Huyen Linh (born in 1992, residing in Long Hoa ward, Tay Ninh province) brought her 7-year-old daughter to participate in the diorama making activity. At first, the child was a bit worried, afraid that she was not skillful, but after receiving guidance, she completed her work very well.
Ms. Huyen Linh confided: “I created conditions for my daughter to participate in workshops on creating balloons, making pottery, and this time, making dioramas. Through these activities, I hope my daughter can unleash her creativity, express her personality, and develop comprehensively.”
Teddy bear keychain making activity at “Touch workshop”
Thu Ha added: “With the goal of sharing interesting and new things, the price to participate in the craft activities at “Touch Workshop” will not be too high to be suitable for students, students, and families with young children. All paintings, paints, and decorative accessories are prepared and guided by us. Everyone participating in the activity only needs to prepare a comfortable spirit to be able to create artistic works to bring home.”
In addition to resin or diorama painting, many young people also enjoy making teddy bear keychains – a seemingly simple experience but one that brings many emotions. They sit attentively sewing each stitch to create a teddy bear keychain with their own mark.
Truong Ngo Phuong Thanh (born in 2007, residing in Long Hoa ward) excitedly said: “The feeling of creating a souvenir with your own hands is really different. It is not just a product, but also a healing process.”
“Touch workshop” brings new and interesting experiences
To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Huynh Thi Thu Ha also organized activities to decorate conical hats with the theme of homeland and country; making resin paintings of the map of Vietnam with the desire to contribute to spreading the spirit of patriotism among students.
“I am trying to maintain organizing workshops every Sunday in Tay Ninh and expand many other handicraft activities with themes related to events and national holidays. I hope that “Touch Workshop” will not only be an activity but will gradually become a place for each person to find themselves through each brush stroke, needle line, and color block – where emotions are healed by creativity” - Thu Ha shared./.
