Việt NamViệt Nam01/11/2023

(HG) - Up to now, the pig herd is estimated at 145,640, an increase of 1,883 over the same period. Of which, there are 103,009 pigs, an increase of 1,703. The reason for the increase in the total pig herd in the area is that the epidemic situation is well controlled, disease prevention work is strictly managed, small-scale households have re-herded, and large-scale farms and farms continue to produce, re-herd and expand the scale of their barns. The provincial authorities always closely direct the re-herd of pigs at the right time to suit the actual situation of the locality as well as review and identify large-scale farms that ensure biosafety in animal husbandry. Since then, the total herd has been gradually restored, contributing to an increase in quantity and quality.

The pig herd in the area increased due to the well-controlled epidemic situation.

Regarding poultry, it is estimated at more than 4.316 million heads, an increase of over 95,000 heads over the same period. Of which, the chicken flock is more than 1.665 million heads, an increase of over 85,000 heads over the same period. In general, the poultry flock in the province is currently stable.

To achieve high economic efficiency during the peak breeding season to serve meat for the market in the last months of the year, breeders need to use quality breeding animals and regularly disinfect barns. On the other hand, veterinary forces regularly carry out vaccination against avian influenza and vaccination against some common diseases in livestock and poultry such as swine fever, foot and mouth disease, duck cholera, etc.
