According to information from Telegram channels monitoring Ukraine's war, the Russian Army opened a breakthrough after gaining control of the town of Ivanivska towards Chasov Yar.
Many images on the battlefield show that Russian attacks have approached the outskirts of the town of Chasov Yar. Fierce fighting is taking place in many locations and no significant breakthrough has been recorded. However, Chasov Yar has an unfavorable position for defense, which will cause Ukrainian forces heavy damage if they try to hold this position.
Meanwhile, because the Zaporozhye front is going badly, the town of Robotine is at risk of falling in the next few days, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) is actively expanding the construction of an anti-tank fortification system called “dragon tooth” in Dnepropetrovsk region. About 7.000 dragon tooth blocks were deployed.

Head of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Sergei Lysak, said: “Fortification construction in the Dnepropetrovsk region continues. The work is large scale. A lot of experts and equipment are involved. (…) They are working at full capacity. Production of reinforced concrete structures necessary for permanent constructions. They are creating “dragon teeth”.
Mr. Sergei Lysak added that the fortification construction process is still continuing. At the same time, leader of the Odessa Regional Military Administration Oleg Kiper said that a system of fortifications along the Dniper River is being deployed to prevent the possibility of the Russian Army attacking across the river.
In February 2, sources in Kiev said that the Ukrainian Army had run out of money to build the "dragon tooth" system for the Zaporozhye region.
However, the important problem of the "dragon tooth" defensive lines is not the natural and artificial obstacles, but the multi-layer firepower system to prevent attacking forces from approaching. This was demonstrated by Russia's Surovikin line during the summer 2023 counteroffensive. The AFU currently does not have the resources and firepower that Russia does.
Regarding the appearance of M1 Abrams tanks on the front lines, the Russian tank crew operating in the Kherson direction announced that they were ready to confront American tanks on the battlefield.
Russia's RIA Novosti news agency posted that the operations of the T-73B3 tank and modified variants based on battlefield experience in Ukraine have proven that this is a much better tank than Western products.
“Mobility, main artillery and armor have been improved. That is, our tanks are ready to withstand their shots, but not all Westerners can withstand our shots," the tank commander nicknamed "Shakhtar" shared. shared with RIA Novosti.
And, the mechanic of the T-72B3 nicknamed "Vityaz" added that the crew actually confronted Abrams and Leopard tanks on the battlefield.
“In my opinion, the T-72B3 has proven that the Leopard is not a problem for it,” soldier “Vityaz” emphasized.
Previously, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that AFU had lost more than 71.000 soldiers on the battlefield since the beginning of 2024. In addition, since the beginning of 2024, the Russian Army has destroyed 4 Abrams tanks, 5 Leopard tanks of Germany and 27 American Bradley vehicles. In addition, combat units also accurately attacked 11 anti-aircraft missile launchers, including 5 Patriot launchers.
Most recently, on March 20, Russian soldiers from the Central Operations Group destroyed the 3th M1 Abrams with a suicide drone (FPV) near the town of Berdychi, near Avdeevka.

Meanwhile, due to high-intensity air strikes by the Russian Air Force targeting Ukraine's infrastructure system recently, many regions in the country were forced to apply rotating power cuts. In the city of Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk region of Ukraine, the emergency power cut schedule has been reintroduced.
An emergency power outage was imposed in Krivoy Rog on March 22, following a large-scale attack on critical infrastructure, including Ukraine's largest hydroelectric plant DneproHPP.
