Spend 30 million VND to book a presidential suite to... watch the parade in Ho Chi Minh City

Wanting to have a private space to watch the parade, Tra My's family 'booked' the entire presidential suite, priced at 30 million VND/night at a 5-star hotel (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City). According to My, this was a completely worthwhile experience.

Tran Vu Tra My (23 years old, Ho Chi Minh City), still clearly remembers every moment of watching the parades passing through Nguyen Hue walking street from above.

"Outside, there is an atmosphere of national unity and heroism, and next to my family and grandmother, we watch and review history together. I feel very moved to see peace in this way," Tra My said.

Accordingly, to have private space and ensure the health of family members, especially the 85-year-old grandmother when watching the parade, Tra My's family spent 30 million VND/night to book a presidential room, in a 5-star hotel in the center of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

This hotel is ideally located to watch the parade. From Tra My's room, you can witness the entire parade, marching through Nguyen Hue walking street, and clearly see the performances of helicopters and fighter planes in the sky.

My family rented the most luxurious room in the hotel at a higher price than usual. The room was 200 square meters wide and equipped with high-end furniture. The design space was both luxurious and had a historical feel, creating a lot of nostalgia when renting a room to watch the parade.

When a parade passes by, family members "divide" into positions near the large windows, watching, discussing, and admiring together.

Ha My said that the distance from the window to the main street was quite close so we could see everything, including the parade and the excited cheering of the people. In the sky, we could also see helicopters and airplanes… which was very pleasing to the eye.

From here, her view also encompasses iconic city destinations such as Nguyen Hue walking street and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee building.

"Especially my grandmother, despite her old age, was still very eager to watch the parade because April 30 was a very sacred milestone for her generation.

When she saw the troops passing by, the flags flying in the sky and heard the music coming from the street, she was silent for a moment, then said: "It's been a long time since I've seen such a heroic atmosphere," the young girl shared.

However, GenZ girlfriends also admitted that if they were to directly immerse themselves in the street, the atmosphere would definitely be more vibrant and bustling.

Because My and her family's health is not good enough to stand for long periods of time, they chose to watch from the hotel. Especially since my grandmother is old, her children and grandchildren want her to have the most comfortable, complete and meaningful experience on this occasion.

According to a reporter's survey, Ho Chi Minh City is the country's tourist center for a series of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

Not only tourists from all over flock to the city, many people in Ho Chi Minh City also choose to rent hotels in the central area to watch fireworks, drone performances and military parades from the preliminary and final rehearsals until the official ceremony on the morning of April 30.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, up to now, 1-5 star hotels in the city center have room occupancy rates of 95% to 100%. Many large 4-5 star hotels have reported full rooms from April 27 to May 1.

Hotels in the city center's vicinity during the holiday season this year recorded room occupancy rates of 80% or more.
