The first phase of the "Xẩm to School" project.
On the evening of December 17th, SS Label and SOOBIN officially held the first leg of their community project "Xam (traditional Vietnamese folk singing) to school" at the Nguy Nhu Kon Tum Hall ( Hanoi ) - a building considered a cultural and artistic hall nearly a century old, transforming the program into a space where heritage meets contemporary flair, creating a unique cultural fusion.
The project's first stop was the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, with the professional support of the Center for Promotion of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Vietnam - the co-organizing unit, playing a role in connecting artisans and spreading the value of traditional heritage.
The students not only had the opportunity to listen to the artisans share about the history, value, and spirit of Xam art, but also enjoyed emotionally rich performances. The performance of "Muc Ha Vo Nhan" set to Xam music provided a simple, profound experience, creating a clear difference from the modern music video version that the public is already familiar with.
Building on the experience of enjoying the performance, the program further expands the interactive space as students directly "role-play" as Xẩm singers. The young people, along with the artists, recreate a segment of the work, thereby gaining a clearer understanding of the rhythm, melody, and spirit of Xẩm.

Xam singers perform in the program.
The audience also watched a short video introducing the artistic journey of SOOBIN – a son born into a cradle of traditional culture, raised under the dedicated guidance of his father, People's Artist Huynh Tu. From his early days learning the zither to embarking on a professional artistic career, he has always preserved and cherished the cultural values that have contributed to shaping his personal identity. This journey is clearly demonstrated through many notable milestones such as "Trong Com" in the "Brother Overcoming a Thousand Obstacles" program , his solo live concert " SOOBIN Live Concert: All-Rounder, " and the music video "Muc Ha Vo Nhan ."
On this occasion, representatives from the Center for Promotion of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Vietnam presented SOOBIN with an ancient bầu instrument, as a symbol of appreciation and cooperation in the journey of preserving and spreading traditional cultural values to the community.

SOOBIN shares with students
SOOBIN shared: “Through the ‘Xẩm to School’ project, I want to convey that Vietnamese culture is not distant or inaccessible. If we take the time to listen and learn, we will find many beautiful, interesting, and proud things within it. I hope young people, especially students, will open their hearts to traditional values. The more we understand our culture, the stronger we become in defining our identity and direction.”
