On the afternoon of June 3rd, the Hai Phong Forest Protection Department announced that the prolonged hot weather in the city, combined with low air humidity and low moisture content in combustible materials, easily leads to a high risk of forest fires.
Communes, wards, and special zones at high risk of forest fires include: Tran Nhan Tong, Chu Van An, Le Dai Hanh, Chi Linh, Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Trai, Bac An Phu, Nam An Phu, Tran Lieu, Pham Su Manh, Nhi Chieu, Kinh Mon, Viet Khe, Hoa Binh, Luu Kiem, Thuy Nguyen, Le Ich Moc, Bach Dang, Kien An, Phu Lien, Kien Thuy, Do Son, An Khanh, An Truong, An Lao, Cat Hai…
These areas are at level IV (high risk of large-scale wildfires with rapid fire spread).

To proactively prevent and minimize the number of forest fires and the damage they may cause in the future, the Forest Protection Department requests that the chairmen of the People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones with forests direct the commune-level forest fire prevention and control committees to coordinate with the regional forest protection forces to supervise forest fire prevention and control work by forest owners and prohibit the burning of undergrowth near forests.
Forest owners must regularly inspect the forest patrol and management forces, especially those involved in reforestation.
In addition, security personnel are on duty from 10 AM to 8 PM daily, with particular attention paid to peak hours (from 11 AM to 7 PM).
When forest fires occur, it is necessary to promptly mobilize forces and resources to extinguish the fire as soon as possible; strictly adhere to reporting procedures; and simultaneously conduct investigations to verify the cause of the fire and track down the perpetrators to be severely punished according to regulations.
