In addition to thorough preparations regarding supplies and food for officers and crew on board during long voyages, there is also careful preparation of essential necessities for the Lunar New Year, and reserves to be ready to assist fishermen at sea with food, fresh water, medicine, etc., in case of emergencies.

To ensure that officers and crew on the ships could perform their duties with peace of mind, the Party Committee and the command of the detachment thoroughly explained and educated them on specific and detailed tasks, while also providing timely encouragement and ensuring good material and spiritual support, including gifts for officers and crew, and regularly visiting and assisting the families of officers and crew in difficult circumstances, so that officers and crew on duty during Tet would feel warmer and more secure while performing their duties.

With a spirit of determination, Captain Le Tran Phu of Fisheries Patrol Ship 468, representing the ships participating in the Tet holiday patrol, shared: "The officers and crew on the ships of Fisheries Patrol Squadron No. 4, performing their duties throughout the Lunar New Year, are determined to complete their tasks well and excellently, bringing peace at sea to the fishermen during the last working days of the year and ushering in a new year with favorable sea conditions and good fortune."
| In 2024, the 4th Fisheries Patrol Team effectively carried out its work in disseminating information and assisting local people in exploiting and catching seafood at sea in accordance with regulations, avoiding violations of the law, and complying well with regulations on IUU (Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated) fishing. The team participated in 44 rescue operations, rescuing 8 fishing vessels from various provinces (Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen , Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, and Binh Thuan) and 67 fishermen, bringing them ashore safely. |
