Accordingly, from April 14, 2025 to April 15, 2025, activities of international delegations visiting and working in Vietnam will take place in Hanoi. To ensure security, safety and smooth traffic to serve the protection of international delegations, Hanoi City Police announced traffic diversion and organized directions for vehicles as follows:
From 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on April 14, 2025 and from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on April 15, 2025, trucks with a cargo weight of 500 kg or more, passenger cars, taxis (except vehicles with security badges, buses, environmental sanitation vehicles, vehicles for handling and fixing incidents; fixed-route passenger cars) will be temporarily banned and cars and motorbikes will be restricted from operating in the districts of Ba Dinh, Tay Ho, Dong Da, Cau Giay, Nam Tu Liem, Dong Anh, Soc Son and Me Linh.
Hanoi City Police organize directions for vehicles temporarily banned and restricted from participating in traffic through the areas along the following routes:
Vehicles from National Highway 5 to National Highway 1A, 1B (to go to the southern provinces) go through Thanh Tri - Phap Van - National Highway 1B bridge. If going through Vinh Tuy bridge, follow Minh Khai route to Vong - Giai Phong - Do Muoi intersection or go through Vinh Tuy bridge - Nguyen Khoi embankment or Minh Khai, Mai Dong bridge turn to Tam Trinh - Do Muoi to National Highway 1A, 1B or Ring Road III and vice versa.
Vehicles from National Highway 5 to the northern provinces (Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho , Thai Nguyen,...) take National Highway 5 - Nguyen Van Linh - Ly Son - across Dong Tru bridge - Truong Sa - Hoang Sa - Vo Van Kiet - National Highway 2 or from National Highway 5 - Thanh Tri bridge approach - across Phu Dong bridge - National Highway 3 approach - National Highway 3 and go to the provinces and vice versa.
Vehicles from the southern provinces (Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam provinces...) to the northern provinces (Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc,...) follow the route Do Muoi - Ngoc Hoi - Phan Trong Tue - Provincial Road 70 - Phung Hung - Xa La - Van Phu - Le Trong Tan - Provincial Road 70 - Nhon - National Highway 32 - Vinh Thinh Bridge (or Trung Ha Bridge) - to Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc... and vice versa (limited to Ring Road III, Thang Long Bridge, Vo Van Kiet...).
On the other hand, for other routes and vehicles, comply with the regulations on the operation of means of transport in Hanoi (Issued under Decision No. 06/2013/QD-UBND dated January 25, 2013 of Hanoi People's Committee, Decision No. 24/2020/QD-UBND dated October 2, 2020 amending and supplementing a number of articles of the regulations on the operation of means of transport in Hanoi and other regulatory documents of competent authorities).
Hanoi City Police require all drivers to strictly comply with the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety and the guidance and regulation of traffic flow by the authorities; proactively choose appropriate travel times and routes. When encountering priority vehicles that are signaling priority on duty, they must quickly reduce speed, avoid, stop close to the right side of the road, and change direction to the nearest level crossings and intersections to give way.
