According to the schedule and plan for organizing the tournament, on the morning of December 10th, the Organizing Committee of the 2025 "Embracing Love" Pickleball Tournament of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper held a technical meeting and drew lots to divide the teams into groups for all 7 competition categories. Speaking at the draw ceremony, the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper and Head of the Organizing Committee, Bui Thanh Liem, shared: "The 'Embracing Love' Pickleball Tournament of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper is not only a beneficial playground for those who love this sport, but also a place to share concern and love for the community."

The Organizing Committee of the tournament will mobilize philanthropists and the athlete community to participate in charitable work with the Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, joining hands to contribute to supporting people in disaster-stricken areas, supporting poor students, poor patients in emergency situations who cannot afford hospital fees, and supporting homeless people to celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year of the Horse."

According to the regulations, the Organizing Committee received registrations from 172 athletes in 7 competition categories, including the category for artists and celebrities. Categories with a large number of registered athletes, such as men's doubles over 45 and mixed doubles over 45, promise to be dramatic and exciting competitions, as noted by Mr. Le Hong Trung, a member of the tournament's expert panel.

The Organizing Committee has also reviewed and contacted the athletes to verify their identities and achievements. According to the tournament regulations, athletes who have achieved national-level status or have competed professionally or semi-professionally are not allowed to participate in this community competition.

Ready for the competition

The official matches of the tournament will begin at 8:00 AM on December 13th at the Pickleball Club in the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Culture Center. Prior to that, the opening ceremony will start at 7:30 AM, allowing the matches to proceed as scheduled.

The draw results are as follows: Men's Doubles 18-44 years old: 10 pairs will participate, divided into 3 groups. The top pair from each group and the second-place pair from Group A (group of 4 pairs) will advance to the semi-finals.

Women's Doubles (18-44 years old): 11 pairs divided into 4 groups, the top two pairs from each group advance to the quarterfinals according to their assigned numbers.

Mixed doubles (18-44 years old): 11 pairs divided into 4 groups, the top two pairs from each group advance to the quarterfinals according to their assigned numbers.

Men's doubles over 45 years old: 15 pairs divided into 4 groups, the top two pairs from each group advance to the quarterfinals according to their assigned numbers.

Women's doubles over 45 years old: 12 pairs divided into 4 groups, the top two pairs from each group advance to the quarterfinals according to their assigned numbers.

Mixed doubles (over 45 years old): 15 pairs divided into 4 groups, the top two pairs from each group advance to the quarterfinals according to their assigned numbers.
