"Apple is aiming to use four-sided curved display technology for a special iPhone version launching in 2027," ETNews reports.

Accordingly, this screen not only curves to the left and right edges like many previous phone models, but is also designed to wrap around the top and bottom. This new design will create a seamless visual experience from every angle of the product.
Previously, a Bloomberg report stated that Apple was planning to launch "an iPhone with a curved screen and no bezels whatsoever." The Information website also revealed that at least one new iPhone model launching in 2027 will have a truly bezel-less display.
The new display technology is seen as a major effort by Apple in developing next-generation hardware for the iPhone. The company is also reportedly developing OLED display drivers based on a 16nm process, instead of the current 28nm process.
Sources from the supply chain indicate that Apple will soon be in discussions with its OLED display partners, including Samsung Display and LG Display, about implementing advanced technologies on the 20th-anniversary iPhone model.

MacRumors suggests that the company will face numerous technical challenges in implementing this idea. To achieve a four-sided curved screen design, Apple will need to rearrange the placement of sensors, cameras, and speakers beneath the display.
Furthermore, the four-sided curved screen design would make it very difficult to ensure product durability. In addition, Apple would need to address a host of software-related issues to ensure the hardware components function stably.
