In mid-October, at the construction site of the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway through Dong Nai (including packages A5-A6-A7), workers, motorbikes and equipment are continuing to race in many categories.
The bustling atmosphere prevailed in both A6 and A7 packages passing through Nhon Trach and Long Thanh districts. Package A5 was basically completed, contractors were waiting for acceptance to hand over to the investor.
According to the reporter's records, in the A7 package, workers are focusing on constructing the service road, the QL51 intersection, and the finishing part. The toll station is also being installed, the concrete part is finished, and the remaining parts are being completed.

At the same time, traffic safety signs, signs, and lighting systems were also installed. In addition, road markings, light shields, etc. were also completed.
Mr. Nguyen Thien Dat - Executive Director of the A7 package said that this package has basically been completed and is in the finishing stage. "Workers have completed the installation of bridge railings, anti-glare panels, road markings, fences, gantry cranes, signs... The remaining items are expected to be completed in November in time for temporary operation," said Mr. Dat. In the photo is the intersection between the expressway and National Highway 51.
As for package A6 (A6.1-A6.2-A6.3-A6.4), mainly motorbikes, equipment, and workers are still focused on making roadbeds, digging and filling, and handling the remaining items.
In which, package A6.4 section from the intersection with the road to Phuoc An port extending to Thi Vai bridge (package A7), workers must work in shifts continuously to ensure completion in November.
This section will connect with the A7 package (about 7km long) extending to National Highway 51 to serve temporary exploitation in November. In this section, workers are loading the roadbed, digging and filling some locations and especially completing the intersection.
When put into operation, about 7km of this road can help reduce the load on a section of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway and National Highway 51. Vehicles traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Ba Ria - Vung Tau can take the Cat Lai ferry to Nhon Trach, then enter Dong Nai's internal roads to reach the expressway turnoff to National Highway 51.
In addition, vehicles traveling on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway who want to avoid the traffic jam at the QL51 intersection can turn onto Highway 319 through Nhon Trach. Then continue the journey to Ben Luc Long Thanh Expressway to reach the QL51 intersection near the border of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. This helps avoid traffic jams and reduces the travel distance by a few kilometers.
Mr. Dang Huu Vi, Director of the Southern Expressway Project Management Board, said that many sections of the route have been completed. Particularly, the section from the end of A6 package to the end of A7 package, which passes through the mangrove forest, has now taken shape.
“Package A7 is basically completed, and package A6.4 is about 75%. Therefore, the Project Management Board is urging the contractor to mobilize workers to deploy shifts and race to meet the progress to temporarily exploit this section of the route in November,” Mr. Vi said.
Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway is 58km long through Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City and Long An. The project has a total investment of 31,320 billion VND with 11 construction packages. Including section 1 in the West from package A1-A4, section 2 from package J1-J3 and section 3 in the East through Dong Nai province including package A5-A7.
This route was started in 2014 and had to be temporarily stopped in 2019 due to policy changes, and will be restarted in mid-2023. The entire route is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025. When put into operation, it will connect the Southeast region with the Southwest region. Especially connecting seamlessly with major expressways such as Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong, Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay and Bien Hoa - Vung Tau.
